Stopped in for afternoon tea and met the most amazing person who provided the best service. Mr. Cole Simmons is an absolute gem, his warm and welcoming personality fits in perfectly with the Rosedon charm. Recommend anyone to visit. It’s a must!

Hotel's Favourite
This was our second time staying at the Rosedon Hotel. It is one of the few reasonably priced places in Bermuda that is within walking distance of Hamilton. The staff and owners are the nicest people and the grounds around the pool (where my husband swam every day) are a lush oasis of greenery. Breakfast was delivered each morning to our outdoor patio. When we stayed here six years ago, you ate breakfast in the main portion of the hotel, but the new method is very nice, too. The room was large and the bed was incredibly comfortable. There is a nice-size fridge to store cold drinks and small food items. The staff booked a cab to pick us up at the airport as well as helped us reserve an electric car to explore parts of the island. The Huckleberry Restaurant on site is first-rate. What we love about this hotel is that it is run by a family, which has owned it since the 1950s, and the family members are just the nicest people. We will definitely be back.

Good Morning, Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us again at the Rosedon and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review of your recent stay. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our beautiful grounds and pool area, as well as the comfort and spaciousness of your room. We're also happy to hear that you appreciated the new breakfast delivery and found it to be a nice improvement from our previous setup. It's fantastic to know that our staff was able to assist you with your transportation needs and that you enjoyed your experience at Huckleberry. We are proud to be a family-owned hotel, and it means a lot to us that you found our family members to be friendly and accommodating during your stay. Thank you again for your kind words and for staying with us. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit in the future! Best regards, Matt Kitson

The service and personnel at The Rosedon are fantastic, and they put The Princess across the road to shame. The Huckleberry restaurant has an interesting and choice menu, and the location is really great.

Rosedon is a beautiful hotel and it’s staff are a credit to the hotel. Personally I would have liked larger pillows on my bed but it didn’t affect my enjoyment. My travelling companion has mobility issues so an easier access to the ground level rooms and swimming pool would definitely be a welcome improvement. Personally I missed afternoon tea on the balcony but I realise it wouldn’t be for everyone. A great holiday

Greetings, It's always great to see familiar faces, and we greatly appreciate your continued support of our family business! Given the historical nature of the property, we won't be able to work around the steps too easily, but I hope it didn't affect your partner's experience too much. Keep an eye out as we're looking to re-introduce some of our old amenities back into our offering such as a lounge, honor bar, and maybe even some tea snacks! Hope to see you again in the near future. Best Regards, Matt Kitson

We had a wonderful week at the Rosedon and for the first time in my life I didn’t want to come home. The hotel is charming and classy and very comfortable. The gardens are stunning and I adored the pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. Damien the manager is an absolute star - and he is cheerfully supported by Peter, Andrew, Joel, Terita, French and the wonderful Craig (who oozes happiness and smiles) - and the charming man who cleans the pool and Kibbles the cat - this is a team that gives 110% every single day! Please don’t change a single thing. Thank you for everything……we love you!

The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and modern. The grounds and gardens are lush and gorgeous. HOWEVER - our toilet didn’t flush, but they immediately sent someone to fix it and when it was unfixable they gave us a different room. Unfortunately, in the second room the AC stopped working on second night. Some travelers would blow a gasket over this but we know this was an anomaly. (I will say though, it would have been nice if we were offered something for the inconvenience, like a free drink at Huckleberry at least. I guess they don’t appreciate easy-going guests. Ha!) Good, convenient location.

Good Afternoon Lisa, I do apologize for the maintenance issues you experienced during your stay. The team has been well underway performing various upgrades to our rooms and property to help avoid these sorts of issues in the future. September is typically one of our hottest months which can put a lot of stress on airconditioner units as I'm sure you can imagine. We've been installing new units, and improving our maintenance schedule to help with this during our higher use months in the summer. Thank you again for visiting and we hope to see you again in the future! Best, Matt Kitson

Loved our time at Rosedon, we had to make a last minute booking as our flight got cancelled, due to hurricanes, was glad they had room here. Love the small boutique vibe, loved the pool although it was a little cold. All the staff where amazing, and the room was lovely, clean, and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was great too. We opted for the no room cleaning so we got some free drinks at the bar lol

Glad to hear you took advantage of our Eco Clean program and helped us maintain our commitment to being environmentally conscious! You must have caught our pool on a cloudy day as normally the September sun will heat that right up. If you ever return to our little island please be sure to look us up again! It was a pleasure having you. Best Regards, Matt Kitson

We chose Rosedon for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. This was a comfortable stay, good location for the first visit to Bermuda. The room was not in the main building and had a feeling of a three-star hotel, not a boutique hotel: wrinkled sheets, outdated bathroom, underwhelming breakfast... Totally not what we expected. Our anniversary dinner @ Huckleberry restaurant was reserved in advance. The staff was polite but didn't go beyond wishing us happy anniversary. On our last night we asked to reserve a dinner @1609 restaurant across the street for us. And they did, only for the night a week later when we were not even in Bermuda. Unfortunately we only found it out when we got to the restaurant. Basically this place felt like any big hotel, comfortable, polite staff but a little impersonal.

Greetings, I'm sorry to hear that you felt your experience fell flat with us. I'm happy to let you know that we are actively looking to improve on some fo the areas that you highlighted. We hope to include some element of hot breakfast for our guests in addition to the buffet that we currently offer. We are also adding a guest lounge to the hotel property which will feature an honorary bar and manager wine reception each evening. I hope that you see fit to give us another try someday! We'd love to get your feedback on what you think of the upgrades. Best Regards, Matt Kitson

My wife and I were visiting from the US. The Rosedon was our haven after having a not-so-great experience at a vacation rental. The staff is phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful. We were in their smallest room- it still had plenty of space. Everything was strategically placed for comfort and convenience. It was one of the most comfortable and cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. The room was also very quiet. We loved the location. It was so easy to get anywhere on the island from the hotel. We walked and took public buses everywhere (Front street, Horseshoe Bay) and loved it. What else could you ask for? The Rosedon saved our trip. Next time we visit Bermuda we will not hesitate to book our stay at the Rosedon.
