The place is being run by trainees from hotel schools in the Netherlands, they are doing a great job! There is no management, there is no maintenance, the place is falling apart. The beach is beautiful, but they never clean up, they do not even have ashtrays. The chair pillows

My reservation was for a standard one bedroom chalet at the Sorobon Beach Resort in Bonaire, but when I arrived, what a disappointment!!! When I checked in, the room was dark and not secure--no locks on windows (missing or broken) and no door to the restroom. When I spoke with

Note: this review is for the beach and lounge only, not the resort itself (although we did partake of their yoga classes) A 30-room resort located on the southeastern shore, Sorobon sits on a lagoon that never gets more than waist deep until it feels like you're almost in the

Sorobon Beach Resort is probably the most ideal place to go if you love windsurfing. The winds are ever-present, steady and from an ideal direction, and the water is shallow, allowing one to learn beach starts and water starts. But --- windsurfing is not inclusive --- the three

Response from Suzanne V, Public Relations Manager at Sorobon Beach, Wellness & Windsurf Resort
Responded 10 Jan 2019
Dear Peter, Thank you for your extensive review! We appreciate the time you put to list all the factors you enjoyed and noted about our resort. All the information has been forwarded to the management, for consideration for improvements, as well as an up-to-date overview about how our guests enjoy their stay. A few of the factors you listed are widely discussed in our communications - such as snorkeling, or the shallow depth of the Sorobon lagoon. There is an abundance of information on the snorkeling reefs in the lagoon, and the advised times for paddle-boarding. As far as other services go, we hope our Front Desk staff helped you organize the bike and diving services, and if not, we always encourage our guests to consult with us for suggestions for activities on Bonaire! We apologize for any inconvenient experience you experienced and hope to see you back on Bonaire one day. We wish you and your family a fantastic 2019!

We rode our golf carts there and paid a small fee to rent chairs for the few hours we were there. Didn't have to pay anything else.

Can I buy a day pass to the beach in advance? Thanks, Anna
Hello Anna, Thank you for your interest in spending a day in Sorobon Beach Resort! As I've answered a few other questions before about the day passes, we do not offer any. Instead, you have to pay a beach fee of $5 per person to access our beach. This gives you the access to the use of our beach chairs and beach beds. If you would like torrent our shaded cabana for two, the price is an additional $10. Now, we do not take cabana reservations, especially from outside visitors, as we do take priority in our guests. Therefore, the beach cabanas works on a first come - first serve basis. Hope this answers your question fully. Sincerely, Anele | Sorobon Beach Resort
