Casa Iraida was a good hostel after. Even limited in services and equipment but they offered amazing price with extensive care.Their private room was good and clean, too. Somehow I felt that they could really introduce us the Cuban life.

After booking they sent me a very nice and helpful email with all you need to know when you arrive at havana airport and how to get to the casa. When I was in Cuba, I was looking for a place to stay in La Habana where I could save money and live a nice experience. La casa Iraida is the best choice ! There, you will discover the real Cuban lifestyle and will have good pieces of advice thanks to the owner and her son who speak both English...

I'm Cuban, and I was there just to say good bye to my friend from Germany and give him something. Then someone from the house with a really bad face ask me: "Are you Cuban". I say: "Yes why?". Then, without even say "please" or "sorry" (still don't know why) he say "You have to go". I even couldn't wait...

This is a great place to stay and see the real Havana. Good price in a 6 bed share room with a delicious breakfast for 2.50 cuc, cooked by Alejandro's mum who is so sweet. Alejandro is a legend, lots of good tips and fun guy, great to go out with for a few drinks to a bar that locals...

This is such a great hostel - can't recommend it enough. The owners are so friendly and helpful and will really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. It's in a great location where you can see the real Cuba and it feels very safe, particularly walking around the area at night. The rooms are comfy and clean...

Family at Casa Iraida are all helpful how to save money and where to visit. There are nice restaurants to eat, places to visit and of course banks around Casa Iraida. The owner Iraida and Alejandro will also are nice people to hang around with at house. Alejandro gave me many options during the stay. If you love being local...

situated in Havana Vedado a very cheap but clean Casa with a fantastic owner, who will give you many tips and tricks on how to spend less in Havana and visit the real non - touristic places i travelled in 2009 but i cannot choose this option (dont know why)
