It was such a pleasure to stay at such an iconic hotel...especially as a US citizen after soooo many years of travel restrictions between our countries. The breakfast is AMAZING with a huge variety. Be sure to take the hotel tour and wander on your own. There is a gift shop and cigar shop and a book stand where you...

You are visiting Cuba and Havana and that requires an adjustment of expectations...not a downgrade, just an adjustment. When purchasing a stay at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba you are purchasing a chance to experience the history of the hotel and the city. And although it is a Cuban 5-star property, you will not receive the 5-star hotel experience one...

The location is amazing with beautiful views of the ocean and the city. There are great places to have a drink and enjoy. It is only ten cuban dollars to take a cab into town and it is ten minutes away. The hotel is soaked in history. Read Havana Nocturne for a great sense of the recent history of Cuba. Things...

The Nacional Hotel de Cuba has so very much to offer. A historic hotel on the Malecon, with a gorgeous spot to view sunsets, to the Hall of Fame of personalities visited, which is very informative, to a small museum on the Cuban Missile Crisis to UNESCO cannons to the most helpful concierge ever. Simply a must.

Full Disclosure I'm not reviewing the Hotel Nacional de Cuba for its rooms, rather I'm looking at it as a full service way-station for travelers in Havana who are in a local casa particular and who need, well almost anything to assist and augment their visit to Havana. For such a traveler, the Hotel Nacional de Cuba is excellent. The...

I only stayed one night so it is hard to give a thorough review. However, I was not impressed. No internet computers were available after 9 p.m. How annoying is that! I guess they want to sell their more expensive wifi cards. Then at 9 a.m. when they opened they would not let me use my universal card, I had...

Hotel room was dirty, shower and toilet roll holder falling apart. Hairs around the bath too! Lobby and gardens were great. Pool looked like you'd catch something from it. The amount they charge they could easily give it a refresh. Staff at reception were rude.

The Hotel Nacional de Cuba is one of the most known of the Country and certainly one the Icons of the city of La Habana. But Its fame is not coming from its history only but also from its excellence in the service. I had the honor to organize a dinner party (buffet) for 550 people at Hotel Nacional Swimming...

Stayed early January 2017 because we heard this was the place to stay for the real Cuban feel. If this is what Cuba is supposed to feel like count me out. Don't get me wrong, the trip it's self was wonderful and Cuba is a once in a lifetime experience, but this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The...

We did not stay in this famous 1930's hotel it is well worth visiting as it has an "interesting" past with a strong association with the Mafia who controlled most of the gambling. The hotel was built as a response to the mass of American tourists escaping prohibition. Hundreds of famous people, Royalty, Edward VIII, authors Hemingway, Jean Paul Sartre...
