We spent 1 week at Ambros Mundos. We enjoyed our time there. The room was nothing extremely special but I really like the old Cuban style - so different from what we're used to in Europe.
The highlight was the rooftop with the amazing view....More
We visited Hotel Amos for the roof top restaurant and bar. The view is amazing...I honestly don't think there is a better view in Cuba. The drinks were okay, and the food was just down right gross. There are so many good places to eat...More

I was able to get a Visa and flew through Mexico City. You can then rent cars from there. I never felt restricted but I was traveling with a Spanish speaking group. Besides of CTN, I used "cubahotelreservation" (google) when I last visit Cuba. It is handy and similar to other hotel booking websites. Only you'll need to pay in advance (mandatory) and there don't seem to be as much comments as what we have in Tripadvisor.
Enjoy your wonderful trip in Cuba!
