We spent 4 nights in early November here. In spite of warnings we ended up in rooms without hot water for the first night. Beware of rooms in the 700 block. We got moved as soon as we raised a concern and the rest was ok for the price. It is a long way from downtown though. The staff were... More

My wife and I spent 11 days staying at El Comodoro. As seven days of our visit were for a work meeting we had no choice in where we stayed as it was booked by the Cuban organisers. I had checked the TA reviews of the hotel beforehand and was very apprehensive! Some described it as the 'worst place they... More

I really wasn't expecting very much from this hotel so on that note I got exactly what I expected. The rooms were clean and well kept, the lobby bar was open 24 hours, they had phones for international calls but most importantly for me, my friend Alex was rolling cigars in the cigar shop in the hotel lobby. Being able... More

I was traveling with a large group of people, we all had our reservations made and printed out months before our arrival and despite that some people did not appear in the reservation list, so they where left without any place to stay at and what's worst of all is that the hotel staff did not care at all and... Worst place ever. Don't waste your money staying at this hotel. My room had mice, ALIVE MICE. I had to move to another room due to the mice situation and nobody said at least "We're sorry". After moving for the third time we had no electricity for 2 1/2 hours at the new bungalows area "Alborada". There's no rating for... More

Well i guess you get what you pay for. The room they gave me had no ac, second room had no warm water, finally they gave me a bungalow close to the pool. It was nice and quiet there, when workers would stop renovation work. But I liked the place. You can see they are working hard to fix up... More

The main building was being refurbished so they put me up in one of their Villas, built late 90 spacious and comfortable and close to the pools. Service is good, did not eat there. Unfortunately there was no hot water.

This hotel is fine for a short stay. You can change money, buy a wifi card and get wifi here and drinks in the bar. All of these things can be challenging in Cuba at times which makes it very convenient. The rooms are fairly spacious and the showers work ok although the water stopped coming out for short periods... More

Having stayed at this hotel in the mid nineties when it first opened this hotel at the time was closer to a 3:5 star hotel. Subsequent visits showed signs of neglect and lack of maintenance. Now it's a solid 2 star hotel. Let me tell you why. No aircondition throughout the hotel. No hot water in the bathroom. Only basic... More
