This place is cheap and well located (not on a very pretty street but one block from Prado and very close to Parque Central). Bathroom was clean and functional, room was just ok. Bedcovers were dirty (sheets were ok), there was mold on some walls, one lamp was missing a bulb and the other gave scary sparks ... but the...

Don't expect anything even basic in our standard. Everything is old and needs remodelation. Standard rooms are small and no light. Bathroom is ok but no hot water. Breakfast is bad but it's Cuba. Front desk is ok. Location is walking distance to everything so no problem with that.

I was very pleased to find a single hotel room for under 20 dollars and booked it for 2 nights. It is between Habana Centro and Vieja, you can walk to all sights or take a bus to the other parts of the city. It is not in a clean area, which is pittoresque and made me take hundreds of...

If you plan to visit cuba avoid the hotels by all means. Most of them are very poor with small deppressive rooms old style furniture and really overpriced. Since all of them belong to the government it is better to choose a casa particular which is very easy and much cheaper. I have never seen such a terrible hotel for...

We stayed for one night and was glad it was just one. When we arrived there was a cloud of smoke in the reception, we were informed that there had just been pesticides sprayed. Our room smelt pretty much the same. It was old grubby and not do comfortable. Would defo choose home stay in a Casa for the same...

I chose this place because of its location - it is situated in la Habana Vieja and in easy walking distance from the main attractions. Our room had all basic facilities and even regular water supply (mostly cold one). The breakfast was eatable, though, of course, similar every day. The staff at the reception was ready to answer all my...

The hotel Lido is good value, but nothing special. The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from Parque Central. In need of renovation and some floors are currently being renovated. Quiet nights sleep. Average breakfast but did not appreciate having to wait 15 minutes before a waiter would even come to serve me. Reception are not particularly helpful with...

Arrived in trepidation after some of the horror stories read on here. The approach to the hotel does nothing to raise expectations but once inside the reception was cool and fairly smart. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were at the front on the 3rd floor. The building is generally very tired and in need of some tlc,...

The hotel belongs to the group Islazul. The quality of the hotels of this group are in general inferior and hotel Lido is no exception to that. Old damp and dank rooms, occasionally problems with (hot) water. The worst: The staff stole 50 Euro and 100 CUC from my safety box located in the reception of the hotel. So beware:...
