The entrance hall, courtyards and dining room look lovely, although more chairs to sit on would be nice. The hotel has a wifi hotspot but we never managed to be in the hotel when its shop was open to buy an etesca wifi card, we ended up buying one from a hotel 4 doors away. Our room was in the...

This hotel has a good location and Big rooms. The bathrooms is old and need soon renovation. We only eath breakfast in the restaurant and it was ok. There is a bar where ther is salsa dans every evening but you can't hear the Music on your room. You Can by card to the internet in a shop in the...

Beautiful building with a nice inner court. The location is great, in the center of the old town. Rooms are ok, but not the most hygienic. Staff is quite friendly, but you do not have the real Cuban feeling.

The hotel is located on one of the busiest roads in Havana right in the heart of the old Havana. Perfect location. From there you can walk the entire old part of the town. The hotel is very old (1885). It is a beautiful building with a big busy lobby and a popular piano bar where there is salsa dancing...

No glass in the bedroom windows, only wooden shutters, so rooms are noisy. Fairly old fashioned rooms but AC worked. We had a room on the side of hotel, and were there during Fidel's mourning period, so there was no music. It was still quite noisy. Breakfast was a buffet, things ran out, unidentifiable food items appeared, and it was...

We spent 5 days at the Florida in September and it was not what we were expecting, even making exceptions for Cuba and its difficulties. On our first night we stayed in room number 2 and were greeted by a musty smell, which was caused by an established leak in the ceiling, consequently the floor was soaking and I had...

This is a traditional colonial style building based on a Moorish design. It is clean and convenient for the old town area of Havana. Staff are less than helpful and miserable with it. Rooms were clean but basic. Food was poor. One big plus is that you can be dropped right next to the hotel rather than having to drag...

We had four nights in the well located and handsome hotel. The hotel is more like a museum than a functioning hotel but we loved it. In a city crumbling around you the Hotel Florida is a well preserved price of history. Check in was quick and bellboy helpful. Pointing us in the direction of a nice restaurant. Room was...

There are only good things to say about the Florida. I will focus on the ones I see bothered other guests, because to be truthful, we didn't have one single complaint in all the time we spent there, which were almost 2 weeks. The hotel is on a busy street, so you would expect some noise at night. Having said...

The hotel is well located but comes with issues for that location. We had the "Jr Suite" at the corner on Obispo. There is no glass in the windows so the noise level is outrageous 24 hours a day. Highly suggest asking for a room in the back. Elevator was broken so walking up flights is necessary.
