We had a tour holiday with Captivating Cuba. The tour started in Havana and went down the west side of Cuba to Trinidad and then back up to Havana. Staying at different places on the way. We had an English speaking guide with us all the time from after breakfast until taken back to each hotel every evening. We had 3 meals a day. Including drinks. All in the price. Entrance tickets were also included. We only had to pay for extra drinks if we wanted them. Even on the last night in Havana we were taken to a big celebrity show where drinks and tapas were included too.

During our eight day tour of western Cuba we stayed at Casa Vitrales twice. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable. The facade was what we expected of this part of Havana but the inside was a mixture of traditional and modern. Modern bathrooms, with luxurious towels and comfortable beds. The staff where very helpful and friendly and the food at breakfast was plenty full and delicious. The Casa/Hotel is situated in an area where there is a great choice of bars/restaurants to dine out. Casa Vitrales is well worth considering as a place to stay if you just want to visit/explore Havana. Most points of interest are within an easy walking distance. Or if you want to do it in style hire one of the many open top "American Taxis"

We were nervous about using a Casa rather than a hotel but we were pleased we did. The house is well restored and in the Old Quarter but very near some great places to eat and well placed for exploring both Lan Habana Vieja and Centro Habana and Prado. The decor seems very authentic and the suite we stayed in was very spacious with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Breakfast is taken on the roof terrace and is as one would expect, fruit, cheese and bread with good coffee. The friendly welcome and helpful advice from management and staff was excellent.

We stayed here for three nights with friends and then one more night at the end of our trip. We loved the Casa, it was spotlessly clean. The rooms were spacious, the shower was great, always with hot water & the room had air conditioning. It was quiet at night when sleeping and wonderful to open the shutters in the morning and hear the buzz of life down below in the streets of Havana. Wifi was available, 1cuc for an hours usage. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to eat breakfast or just relax on the loungers after a day exploring Havana. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The manager, Antonio even changed money for us when we arrived. He offered to booked taxis for us and recommended restaurants. There are quite a few stairs to the rooms but all our bags were carried for us. I'd recommend this Casa to anyone and it has the advantage of being right in the centre of old Havana with plenty of restaurants all around. The best start and end to our wonderful Cuban adventure
