Aurora and Julio are very helpful and considerate hosts who make you feel welcome. The Casa is clean and well run by them and the breakfast (cooked by Julio) is very good. Short walk to Old Square in Havana but far enough away to be quiet at night. Even shorter walk to the waterfront. Good sized well maintained airy rooms...

*Ignore the photos on this TripAdvisor page, which are very out of date.* Use the Casa main websites. Julio and Aurora were our first stay in Cuba and welcomed us with kindness and warmth to their clean, safe and suitably located home. The living area is spacious and with a balcony which looks out onto a harbour – excellent for...

This was the first casa we stayed in in Cuba and it was brilliant! Both Aurora and Julio welcomed us in to their home and were extremely helpful. We had 3 excellent breakfasts but did not stay for dinner due to an overwhelming number of recommendations for paladares. The room was clean, huge (!), had hot water and air con...

Aurora and Julio welcomed me into their casa like I was one of their own. AC, hot shower, and decent bed. Location is a 5 minute walk from the plaza Vieja. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a casa in Havana.

Aurora and Julio Castellanos are gracious hosts of a wonderful home in Old Havana, one quarter of a block from the harbor, where families and couples stroll the sidewalk in the evening. The hosts are accommodating of diets and schedules, and patient with non-Spanish-speaking guests. Their home is a second story walkup, with traditional high ceilings and other attractive period...

We loved staying with Julio and Aurora and getting to know their family. Their casa is located centrally in La Habana Vieja, within walking distance of several must-see historical sites. Our room was clean and comfortable, with perfectly-functioning AC and a good shower. Julio and Aurora were more than happy to answer all of our questions and make helpful recommendations....

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with our choice. Julio and Aurora were lovely hosts. Julio spoke english very well and Aurora cooked a yummy plentiful breakfast. We felt very safe in the casa and surounding area. This Casa is walking distance to all major sites for the tourist but gives you a real life experience...

Julio & Aurora were very helpful throughout our stay in Cuba. They provided us with a very nice room, superb breakfasts and made us feel very much at home. I went to Cuba with my husband who doesn't speak any Spanish and I felt that both Julio and Aurora made efforts to communicate with him and showed genuine interest despite the...

We are two women in their 50s. We booked at this hostel based on the good tripadvisor recommendations. However, despite receiving confirmation that it was OK to bring our bikes and leave our bike boxes whilst we completed a cycle tour, it was clear that our bikes and boxes were not welcome. We found Julio to be a genial host...

Julio and Aurora have a lovely Casa, spacious, full of natural light and they offer a tasty breakfast in the morning. They are very welcoming into their home and always happy to help. The house has a balcony with a view of the bay. It's on the outskirts of Havana Vieja, but that didn't bother us as we enjoyed walking...
