This casa was an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the location is perfect and the house is so beautiful. They have two rooms but you should ask for the upstairs one! It has an amazing balcony and is big and airy. There is a small and winding staircase leading up to the room. There are two beds and...

Casa Nivia is a very welcoming Casa about 10 minutes walk from the main square of the old town - it is towards a more residential part of the old town featuring a drumming school (same street), a Salon de Danzon (3 blocks) and a smattering of restaurants. The casa meals (dinner and breakfast) are typically extensive. The interiors are...

I booked on-line on a Cuban booking site, which did not work! I found the email address and communicated with Beatriz for a five night stay. The room was ok, noting great but for the money quite acceptable. Access to the room was by a very steep two level ladder/staircase so not for anyone not quite nimble. The stated Spanish/English...

Great house with big rooms and a nice breakfast. It's in the center 5 minutos walking from the main square and cathedral. The owners are really nice and helpful. We had some problems and needed to stay one more night, they didn't have any rooms but they found us a nice place in the same street.

We recommend that you try to book this upstairs room because it is so lovely. The family were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. We had one evening meal which was very tasty. The internal patio...

This year was our second stay at Beatriz' "home far from home"!! We enjouyed it as much as in 2015 and the main reason to come back was to meet you again with Peter, Carlos and Nailé. So sad your father has passed away; that was not what we wanted to hear....when we arrived. The rooms are fantastic; the breakfast...

La Casa de Nivia is a lovely old family home with an interior courtyard covered with a leafy arbor where we enjoyed two delicious traditional meals each day. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Our hosts Beatriz and David, and abuela Nivia shared insights into the culture of Santiago, and connected us with a wonderful driver who took us...
