We stayed at the Melia from Feb 20/19- Feb 27/19. It was a pleasent stay. Though the hotel is dated it is very clean. We had some trouble with our tub not draining after showers. But it was resolved by the second day. The hotel staff is wonderful and always pleasant.. EXCEPT

Dear Lianne M, Thank you very much for choosing Meliá Santiago and for taking the time to share your experience with other members of this awesome website. We loved to hear it was a pleasant stay and that the staff was wonderful; however we are truly concerned regarding the disappointment experienced with the pool staff. At our hotel we aim to create memorable experiences for all our guests, by offering the best customer care and ensuring we meet all your needs. Therefore we regret to hear this was not the case in this specific area and we would love to have the opportunity to turn this around any time you come back in the coming future. We keep looking forward to hearing from you and we promise this inconvenient you have experienced will be immediately addressed. Kind regards, Manuel Rios Rodero

Dear Johnny C: Thank you very much for staying at Meliá Santiago de Cuba and for taking the time to share your experience with other travellers. We are really sorry your short stay at our hotel was not as expected. We are very much surprised to hear the check in was not professionally done and this is being analyzed to avoid similar situations in the future. Concerning the Wi-Fi services we will sell the cards at a lower price next month and we are very sorry the provider did not have smaller ones during your stay in the hotel. We know we are capable of offering much more than what you have unfortunately experienced and we would to have another opportunity to regain your trust in us. Therefore, we would love to welcome you back on a future visit and provide you this time the excellent Meliá experience that we always aim to deliver and you deserve. Kind regards, Manuel Rios Rodero

I was on a round trip to Cuba and this hotel was the best on the whole tour. I had the Level room. There were lots of choices for breakfast and dinner. Swimming pool area was good and it was enjoyable to swim there.

1 What's your question? 2 And FYI I didn't see any prostitutes hanging around. 3 What made you think that there are? 4 Why would you care?

Hi, sorry for that late response! I walked a couple of times but taxi was about 5-6 cuc’s to the first main square just outside the central part but depends on where you want to be dropped off to ie. somehow very central like cespedes square which probably adds a couple of minutes but still only a 10-12 minute journey if that. Tops 6/7. Hope that helps.
