I stayed at this casa particulara for 2 weeks in July/August 2016 during a period which included Carnival, The Olympics and the ninetieth birthday celebrations for Fidel Castro. Casa Jardin was a divine place to stay and for anyone seeking an authentic Cuban holiday experience Santiago is a great place to spend a 2 week holiday especially if it incorporates...

Our stay in Cuba was forever spoiled by Maria - because of her casa we were practically disappointed by all the other places we stayed in! :) First off - the casa is quite close to the city centre - less than 10 minutes walk and we never felt unsafe even though the street lights are a bit too dim...

I offered my help wtih TripAdvisor to Maria, since she was nice and helpful to me. She is almost like my Cuban mom, because she helped me, a Finnish guy, on my stay in Cuba a lot. Like I said, a mom-like delightful person who takes care of her visitors. The place is just a few blocks from the center's...

Maria and her family were the most entertaining and lovely hosts. We only made a brief stop over in Santiago on our way to Baracoa, but in that short time were completely charmed. Maria organised a taxi to meet us at the Viazul bus station after our 13 hour ride from Trinidad and welcomed us warmly into her home. The...

I was here for 1 week. My room had air conditioning and a fan, small fridge. Everything was super clean. You must bring your toiletries with you. The staff goes overboard in trying to make your stay pleasant. Very knowledgeable about what to see and do. You can also eat there. If you do request the lobster. Mari and her...

This was a lovely casa, with Maria and her staff being always available and helpful. The outside terrace where you had your breakfast was cool and calming..just what you need before embarking on the streets of Santiago. We had a hire car, and we parked outside on the road. Maria organised an overnight "guard" who stayed in the little porch, immediately...

Maria was absolutely a lovely host and like an aunt to us. Fantastic location only a couple of blocks from the main square, but in a tranquil and authentic street where we were lucky to see 3 spit roasts being cooked on the streets outside homes during New Years Eve. The room was clean and big and laundry was well...

I was in Santiago de Cuba for two weeks in late January/ early February 2014 and had booked to stay at this casa. In the event my plans changed and I had to leave Santiago early although I did visit the casa a couple of times to check it out and meet Maria. I thought it was just lovely and...

The hostess, Mary, was gracious and welcoming, making us feel entirely at home. She was completely unfazed by our mangled Spanish and willingly made repeated calls to our next casa, in Trinidad, to confirm our booking until she got through. Casa Jardin has a lush, plant-filled courtyard - the perfect setting for the delicious breakfast of tropical fruit, bread, coffee...

This casa is in some wonderfully vibrant, but tranquil backstreets near the city centre. Our host and her quorum of friends couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Relaxing on the roof terrace with a cold beer was one of the highlights of my stay in Santiago. Can organise a taxi to pick you up from bus station if that...
