This hotels only true redeeming factor I must say is the beautiful beach. Beyond that however, this hotel has many issues. The food was quite terrible. The Service was exceptionally poor, with many rude or distracted employees who clearly did not care about guest experience. The only times this was different was in cases where you tipped them generously. My...

We just stayed here for 1 wk. This hotel was good, not great and not bad either. You get what you paid. We were upgraded to a suit as they did not have an adjoining room and it had great views! Nobody went out of their way for fantastic customer service, no one gave us bad service. Food was not...

We loved the beaches, water, weather and time with family, the dolphins and Hanana tour and tour guide and coffee bar. However, after learning how to surf when our toilet seat repeatedly left its moorings, and pushing buttons apparently wired up to a unknown residence in Havana, searching despirately for non-existent table pepper to give flavour to very bland, uninspiring...

Honestly, I've never taken the time to write a review but after my 1st trip to Cuba, I think this resort gets it. When I booked for Feb10-17th 2017 the resort was a 4start, funny it's gone down to a 3.5 in weeks. It does not even deserve a 3 star. For one, we get to the resort, arranged for...

This was our second trip to Cuba. There are many positive things about Playa de Oro, and a couple of negatives. We returned yesterday and are still basking in our post Cuba glow! The positives! Beautiful beach, the beach restaurant lunchtime grilled meats and service, the grounds are meticulously maintained, no huge line ups at the bars or restaurants if...

Just returned yesterday from Playa de Oro and miss it already. I was there for 8 days with my husband and 11.5 year old son, and my sister and her husband. We all had an amazing, fun, and relaxing holiday. If you are booking here expecting luxury, you may have booked the wrong place. But if you can keep your...

I absolutely love this hotel, the food was the best i have had since i started going to Cuba 10 years ago, the Grill on the beach was just fabulous, delicious, lots to choose from, the buffet also, having pepper on the table would just be a bonus. My room was always clean and never short on towels, the staff...
