This hostal is run by a great family, Carlos and Maylin. There are three clean rooms all with their own bathrooms. You are one block of the main road and two blocks to the public beach. Far better of a beach than down by the resorts. Less wind, less people, better sand. This was the second time we stayed there,... More

We had two stays (5 nights at all) at Hostal Yosi during our 2 weeks on cuba. We arrived late after a long journey from germany to cuba and got a very warm welcome from Maylin. Our room was comfortable and big enough for us. We had two beds, a bigger and a smaller one. The bath was clean and... More

stayed for 3 nights The room was not dirty, yet not clean also. Very small, with a window on a narrow pass where the exaust pipe from the kitchen is ending. The towels when I got in, smelled frying oil as if they had been fried themselves. Also the family dry their clothes along a wire extending from one side... More

I stayed at Hostal Yosi for 4 nights and I really enjoyed my time there. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the beach and very close to the restaurants, shops. I stayed in a private room, which was clean and nice. I spent 3 weeks in Cuba and breakfast of Hostal Yosi was the best one... More

We stayed at Hostal Yosi for a week, and it was very enjoyable. Maylin and Carlos are really laid-back hosts; great "normal people". I picked Hostal Yosi because I was traveling with my animal-loving 17-yr old daughter, and it was the right choice - both she and Nia the dog had a great time in our relaxing moments in the... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this Casa and would definitely recommend it. The Pros: The room was clean. Wonderful hosts – very welcoming and accommodating. Even though there are three rooms in this casa, it maintained the genuine feel of other casas we stayed at in Cuba. Location was great – just a few minutes walk from the beach.... More

We had a brilliant time at Hostal Yosi. Firstly, if you are visiting Varadero, stay at a casa - you will experience the place in a way that a fluorescent wrist band at an all inclusive hotel just won't give you. Carlos and Maylin were great hosts and even invited us to join them for a party one night. They... More

I had a rest at Maylin and Carlos in March, 2013 is there was the real house reception. Always a clean room, improbably tasty and big breakfast for the modest price. At any time it is possible to ask something and to you will always answer. And the main thing, this family always smiles. Always it is possible to sit... More

Stayed @ Hostal Yosi for 1 week. It felt like home, and I'd like to go back again. Maylin and Carlos are excellent hosts with great personalities - fun++, friendly, kind, easygoing, genuine, and energetic. Had a chance to hang out with their friends (the band) at the casa and at the Beatles, a bar with live rock n roll... More
