You just can't get a better location than this hotel - rooms have large balconies overlooking the vast stretches of Varadero beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The price is great too - we paid $40 CUC for two of us including breakfast. Go to the bar, order up a few Cuba Libres, sit on the patio and imagine what...

On central Varadero beach front, and only 2 blocks from Viazul bus station. Our room on 2nd floor ,like all rooms, did not face the beach front, but faced the street behind. There is access to a sitting room and balcony overlooking the beach that is a common room shared with another room. Both the sitting room and balcony, the...

The staff is really unfriendly and not willing to help at all and they just didn't care. The room was old and noisy and the bathroom was even worse. Breakfast was pore, you could choose between sandwich or eggs but sometimes no choice at all and you just got what the waiter was carrying at that moment. On my last...

Stayed in this hotel for about 12 hours as we needed somewhere to rest our heads before a long flight. If we had stayed here for the full duration of our holiday it would have ruined it. The staff were very friendly and helpful but that's about it. We found the rooms were in a dilapidated state - so much...

We got our room and when checked the locked we discovered that it's broken and anyone could easily come in. We complained at the reception and very soon two handimen came. They tried to fix the lock but it didn't go so good. After a while they disappered with the lock. After one hour we went down to see what's...

If there's a hotel in Cuba that should be closed-down, undoubtedly, this one would qualify. The reception and the entire atmosphere of the place were inanimate, the room was filthy, the toilet bowl had no seat cover (and when we told the receptionist about it, she just replied "it's normal"), there were molds in the shower/toilet room and the furnishings...

Nasty and dark hotel with nice beach front location. Nice people working there, terrible rooms. No one should sell this hotel is really incredible that some tour agencies promote and sell this nightmare. Very dissapointed, excuses like this hotel will be demolish soon. Staff very nice.

We stayed at Los Delfines, just down the street and I walked in to view this hotel. It appeared to be clean and the staff were accommodating. I would not be able to stay at this hotel, as there are no ground floor rooms and I cannot do stairs. It did not impress me as much as Los Delfines but...

We fell for the positive spin put on this place by the Oct 2013 Lonely Planet. Yes, it is faded. But more than that, it is a dump. The sheets were wet on the bed, the room had a bad smell. Garbage on the steps to the beach. Light bulbs not working and refusal to fix. Mildewy smell. Trash and...

We book the Herradura at the last minute because of a schedule change and had to pre-pay for our 4 nights. If I hadn't prepaid I would have checked out and found a casa particulare nearby. The casas in Cuba are so much better than this hotel. The outside of the building is rotting awa. Some of the balconies have...
