This hotel is right near the market, close to water, includes free breakfast and parking, The owner, Walter took us to the market and helped us with a guy overcharging us-- he negotiated a fair price. Rooms are simple. 1 towel. Estrella is very kind. It is centrally located near many noteable sights. You can walk 5 minutes north and... More

I booked to stay at this hotel, but my flight got delayed so I couldn't make it to the Dominican Republic in time to use the accommodation I had booked. I emailed them at the hostel and they waived the late cancelation fee. I'm not accustomed to such kind service when you haven't even stayed yet! I was very happy.... More

This is a basic though charming property with a nice courtyard and good views from the upper hallways. The staff was very friendly but only spoke Spanish and somehow couldn't direct me to any of the landmarks in the colonial district (and I speak some Spanish!). The included breakfast was meager. The room was clean yet very hot when we... More

I wanted to make sure to mention this place because I had a lot of bad experiences and the owner really helped make my vacation very enjoyable. He is from Switzerland, speaks 7 languages/5 fluently, is a great cook, a good tour guide, and host European Soccer parties at his bar, as well. The airline lost my bags and he... More

Condo Parque is in a great location, handy to all the Colonial Zone sites and a few blocks walk to the malecon, the walkway along the Caribbean Sea. It is affordable and has a very friendly staff. My favorite part of this relatively small hotel is the garden restaurant and bar. Breakfast is included in the room rate. One of... More

I felt very safe. Everything was locked up they include breakfast in the morning. The bathrooms were clean. I didn't try the water... Duh! But everything was wonderful. I can't imagine paying for a full hotel room for the price.

This is probably the best 'youth hostel' experience I've had. The people here are just really, really marvelous! My roommate will be, I think, a good friend after we both leave the D.R. This morning, a band from Hait was rehearsing down the stairs. On one level, that is luck, but it isn't just luck. There is a lovely community... More

The room was not even close to being clean. You know there is a problem when the trash can in the room is full of food wrappers and empty bottles and there are crumbs on the bed. But the location is good, service is excellent and friendly. Lockers in the room are small, enough for a purse but not for... More

I found the amount of hotels in the Zona Colonial overwhelming. We tried this place for our first night in country because we would be out exploring anyway. We were impressed enough that we immediately booked a room for our last night in country as well. It is only a few blocks from the main Calle El Conde walking street... More
