This little boutique hotel is housed in a building that dates back to the sixteenth century. It is very lovely and perfectly situated. The staff are wonderfully friendly, especially Carmen and they provide an excellent breakfast. The rooms are hit and miss. Our rooms, right off the lobby, were very loud and the bathroom was only accessible by going outside....

This is a boutique hotel in the historic district of Santo Domingo. Attached to the lobby, there's a small restaurant that serves a delicious, home-cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff was incredibly kind and the service was prompt. All of the rooms face the courtyard, where there's a pool and palm trees. Each room has its own table and...

It is not the worst hotel in the world, but certainly not the best. The rooms are nice, but the hotel itself is not very good. I stayed there and had to eat in another hotel (literally across the street) because the hotel restaurant only operates certain hours. I really like the rooms, the appear historic, very different, but the...

This hotel is in a rebuilt colonial mansion. The lobby and bar are about all that remain of the original, who the some interesting artifacts on display. The front desk personnel were very prompt and helpful. My problem was the rooms. Our group of four was in two rooms. My husband and I shared a room at the top of...

We (family with two children + granddad) arrived late evening after a terrible flight only to discover that the hotel had not taken note of our reservation, which we made through expedia.com. We also had email contact with the manager two days before, asking about the rooms. So there we were in the middle of the night with no room...

Although the educated staff were not around much it didn't matter. Their janitor was an absolute angel and the kitchen / cleaning staff were so sweet too. Great location near the colonial monuments and wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Was in love with the massive mango tree in the central patio beside the pool. It would drop loads of mangos...

This hotel is located in the heart of the colonial zone in a renovated structure that was built in the 1500s I believe. There are some interesting artifacts in the lobby that were found during the renovation as well as some items from other parts of the island. We had a group of 13 people who stayed here. The manager...
