Out of the way Hotel with a lovely beach area. However what makes this place are in animation team. We travel the globe but these guys impress in every department. The rooms are fine and the food is good for the price paid.
I’ve been staying here most years since 2005, and I love it every time.

Staff are kind, friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean, well kept, and decent facilities.

Yes Riu Bachata is sold to Senator resorts. Senator have taken over the Merengue and Mambo and combined the two resorts into one big resort now called Playabachata Resort. The Bachata had closed for renovation April 30 th 2018 and is expected to open December 2018. The renovation includes 5 a la carts, new sports bar, and an addition to the pool. It's sounds good as long as it's affordable. Hope this helps
