I love this place. It has the Haitian feel without taking away the Haiti experience. The staff from checking in to checking out were very friendly and helpful. The food was 100% authentic Haitian. Fresh and delicious. Ben one of the staff members helped us with all our needs. The driver jean took us to the airport we were talking...

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids, ages 7 and 9 in February. It was fantastic. The location and grounds are so perfectly charming. The service is 5 stars all the way. It has a wonderful terrace with flowers and beautiful decoration. Is very peaceful, like a piece of eden in the middle of chaotic CAP. The rooms are very neat with nice decoration,...

This particular property is located on a hilltop providing beautiful ocean vistas, after an adventurous ride up said hill. The staff are courteous, helpful and reasonably attentive. The rooms are ample but really need some attention to detail in fixing the little things that make you believe you are in a 4 star location. You are not. I believe that at...

First off: come to Cap! What a beautiful city with so much to offer. Walk around its colourful streets and soak in the atmosphere. It is very laid back and full of historical architecture and friendly people. Second: stay at Habitation Jouissant. A true boutique hotel with splendid views over the ocean on one side and the city on the...

First off, Cap-Haitien is not a place many will go - but it was definitely an experience that was worth having. The hotel is perched on a hill overlooking both the sea and the bustling town below. The hotel currently has only a handful of rooms but there was a ton of construction and they are expanding significantly as they...

Having come off a year of turmoil I selected an exploratory trip to Cap Hatien Haiti to fulfill a desire to places few others would venture. After 24 hours at Habitation Jouissant or Habjo I can attest that it is others loss not to be able to explore this section of Haiti. Habjo is a relatively small (12-15 room) boutique...

Let's begin with the reasons you should go to Habitation Jouissant: a very lovely location, a magnificent terrasse on which to relax or take the meals, employees who would literally fall backward to be of help and make sure that your stay is nothing short of perfect. But, as is often the case in developing world, the finishing needs attention:...
