I don't think it is fair to really find fault at the moment with things that can't be helped because of last years hurricane. But I also think if a place is open for business it needs to do its best, and should inform guests...More
This hotel is small and is located on a dog beach. It’s fairly nice but not luxurious at all. We paid for a room on the ocean several months in advance (and had a copy of the email we received) but when we arrived (...More

We were prepared for a stay with hiccups, when we came to Puerto Rico 2 months after de devastation of the Island by Hurricane Maria .

We stayed one night before our cruise and really loved this place. It exceeded my expectations. Numero Uno had everything we needed. Our room was small but clean. I love a hotel that has all white sheets and white comforter. We had a great sleep,...More

Room 9 does not face the sea (it faces an interior courtyard) and is on the 2nd floor. The ocean front rooms are more expensive. In actuality, my wife and I almost always request Room 9 because it is quiet and doesn't get too much sun when we want to sleep in. It is more than adequate for 2 people and has enough room in the closet, etc. I hope that answers your question.

It's a couple of miles from Numero Uno to Old San Juan with a highway bridge in between. Taxis would be your most likely bet. They come right to the hotel which is at a dead end street at the beach. The hotel is actually a "Guest House" and has just a few rooms compared to a large hotel but the property is right on the beach. The staff is wonderful and will also bring food and drink to you while you are sitting on the beach under umbrellas. You might call the hotel to get further details and they might be able to work out transportation for you.
