Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to stay for Bike Park Wales. Clean rooms, bike storage in the house itself but I would recommend bringing locks as well just to be extra safe. Good area out back that’s covered for bike washing and doing maintenance. Good selection for self serve breakfast. Friendly pub, curry house and 2 kebab shops just round the corner. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay.

Great location, very much geared up to Mountain Bikers (which we are), and super clean. The hosts Rae and Sheri text us on the morning of arrival with clear instructions and all was as expected. Loads of breakfast stuff in the fridge, with something for everyone. My only criticism is that the beds are a little soft for my liking - defo not worth knocking off a star for, but us mountain bikers are bigger than roadies, so could be worth an upgrade.

I booked somewhere for a night that was cheap, but secure. I was really surprised at how spacious and really clean this place was! Huge kitchen diner and twin room was a lot bigger than expected. Bikes sat securely in lounge watching TV with me and my lad. There was also a really good bike work area behind the kitchen, which we didnt use, but I'm sure would be useful. Will definitely book here again!

Like others have said, if you're going to Bike Park Wales this is the place to stay. Secure Bike storage in the front room. Washing machine and dryer, for your dirty kit and a covered area for cleaning your bike. Yes, the facilities are a bit basic, and you make your own breakfast. But they are clean, and the value is outstanding. I won't be staying anywhere else.

Biking at Bike park Wales? Stay here! great set up for no nonsense bikers with children. Safe storage for bikes, great clean rooms and a shelf service breakfast kitchen plus washing facilities for both bike and dirty bike gear. I stayed with my two 13yr old children who loved all the little biking details around the rooms. Would highly recommend for both the place and the very short drive to BPW.

This was my third stay and can't thank twin trails enough. It's a friendly family run business and you're made to feel welcome from the off. Rooms are always clean and tidy and they have a great area for all your bike needs from cleaning and maintenance to secure dry storage. Breakfast is 10 out of 10 fuelling you for a full days riding. We have booked to return again in September as Twin Trails has everything you need for a biking trip.

Stayed here on a mon and tues night as visiting BPW which is less than 5mins away so is ideal. Bonus was we had the whole place to ourselves as no other guests booked in. Stayed in the green room which has 2 single beds, nice batwing shower. Tv and tea making equipment. Lovely and clean. Downstairs has bike racks to sit your pride and joy after you've washed it outside in the bikewash area that has a great hose along with brushes, muc off cleaner and towels for drying. Youre greeted each morning with a smile and a chat by the owners mother who lives next door but pops in to cook your breakfast which is lovely. I would recommend this to any biker visiting the areas many trails and will most probably be back again.

A house where you can put your muddy bike in the front room is always going to be great in my book! It also has a bike stand, small tool kit and a hose at the rear of the house to give your steed a wash. Rooms are clean and simple with warm comfy beds. Good sized breakfast with a vegetarian option. 10 minutes in a cab gets you into Merthyr and a 7 minute ride gets you to BPW. Perfect.
