Booked Arfryn Guesthouse via booking.com and anytime there’s any questions, the owners (Alun & Sally) would answer my questions ASAP. Upon arrival at the property, I was welcomed and given a beautiful and large guest room. Breakfast is included but dinner can also be served (with additional charges). This property is very near South Welsh highest mountain - Pen y Fan and inside Brecon Beacon National Park. A large reservoir/ lake Llwyn Onn is just across the road from the property
Welcoming hosts, very comfortable room with a large seating area, excellent shower room and a comfortable bed. Sally & Alun provided a wide range of tasty breakfast choices and the addition of evening meals during covid-19 restrictions was very welcome. The covid-19 precautions taken made us feel very safe. Our hosts were keen to provide us with local information and to make our stay an enjoyable one. There is plenty to explore in the area and we plan to return!
Our stay at Arfryn House was amazing! Hosts Sally and Alun were fantastic throughout - very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious with a large en-suite bathroom and both were very clean. Breakfast was great and served with a smile. Precautions against coronavirus were taken sensibly and we felt very safe. Highly recommend!!
Lovely location, delighting the senses and making a wonderful base to explore South Wales and its winsome landscapes. Our hosts were very friendly, made us feel welcome and were attentive to our needs, going out of their way to ensure we would not lack anything (supplementary meals, delicious vegan options, thorough instructions) as Wales was just in the process of reopening its doors to the larger public. The additional measures they took to ensure the safety of everyone under their roof (hand sanitiser everywhere, limiting the number of guests, sensible distancing) was done a way that felt organic and human. Our room was perfect, as was every aspect of our stay; we shall be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Sally and Alun. Take good care!
We have had an amazing 2 night stay. The room was absolutely stunning. The bed was so comfortable and the seating area looking out through a big window was a lovely touch. Sally and Alun were welcoming, friendly and helpful, providing plenty of information on the local area, including places to go for dinner and hiking trails. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons and Bike Park Wales. We will definately come again!
