I had the pleasure of staying at the Queen Bee & B, and it was a delightful experience. Julie, the owner, truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. My room was lovely, great private bathroom and even a good sized dressing room!

Julie's warm hospitality and attention to detail made my stay memorable. I highly recommend this charming B&B for a relaxing getaway.

PS: what an amazing name for a B&B, the Bee theme also runs throughout the room with little Queen 🐝 tags on items and bees on the glassware! Perfect attention to detail!

Julie runs a truly amazing guest house which sparkles.

The true gem is revealed once through the front door with delightful décor and attention to detail. Slippers are provided for your stay and we were able to park our car behind secured gates.

The house itself isn't signed at the front, so you need to look out for the handsome "Atalanta House" with French doors. The room we stayed in, was actually a small suite with a middle room adjoining the bathroom.

There was certainly a feeling of pride and quality behind it all and it was a very pleasant surprise.

Julie hadn't resumed breakfasts at the time of our visit, but she was on hand with recommendations.

All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely great place to stay.Julie makes you feel at home and can't do enough for you, she goes the extra mile.

The property is very clean and accessible to the the town center. If I return to Merthyr tydfil then th Queen Bee would be my first choice place to stay.

This owner is the most unhelpful one I've ever encountered. Refused flat out to let us checkin early eventhough it's offered as an option. I needed early checkin asour son was in a very serious condition in hospital and I'd slept in a chair by his bedside for 3 nights. The reply was very abrupt and totally uncaring. We us hotels in Merthyr on a regular basis but will NEVER consider this one again.

We arrived at Queen bee for a two night stay, at around 3.30/3.45pm and had a job getting anyone to answer , another young couple arrived at the same time. When the door was opened we were told check in time was,nt till 4pm. we were then aloud in and were told to remove shoes and given well washed slippers to wear. Then she started checking us in on her computer bit OTT for a b&b then we were asked if we wanted breakfast when we said yes she said that would be an extra £10 pp per night that was an extra £40. We had just stayed in a very nice hotel and spa where there was a very very good continental breakfast or you could have cooked for an extra £4 which i was awear of before we went as it stated so on there wesite, fair enough my husband had cooked breakfast no problem. On the queen bee website there was no mention that breakfast would be extra looking on a different website it makes it appear that continental is included but she said nothing to us about this just that it was an extra £10 if you wanted to eat. the young couple also waiting to check in said there was no mention of this extra charge. Arrived at the front of the house , shocked about the location ,even hesitated about getting out of the car, nothing like the picture of the back of the house, bit deceiving most people,s first impression would be the front of the house which was not shown We left without staying

It is stated that check-in time is from 4o'clock ...that is because i'm extremely thorough when cleaning/preparing rooms for my guests and need sufficient time from checkout of last guests to do this.It did'nt state that breakfast was included in the price as i feel it only fair to charge those who wish to eat at a separate cost rather than add the cost on to those who wish not to eat ..".which most of my guests prefer as i tend to get a lot of business people stay here that leave quite early for work and don't want breakfast".We are still wondering what you found so different about the front of our property to the back other than shape as it has exactly the same finish and limestone as the back of the property....the back is simply shown as its where guests arrive to park on the electric gated driveway. As we don't allow shoe's to be worn indoors we provide slippers for the guests comfort ...and guests say it makes them feel quite quite at home .I also check in guests on arrival as we get alerted if a guests card are declined (e.g insufficient funds of stolen cards).

What a lovely place! The accomodation is first class, probably the best small hotel / B & B I have ever stayed in! Room was huge and fitted out to a very high standard, pity it was just for one night! Owners too are wonderful, freindly and accomodating - really recommended.

Top notch, luxurious, spotless & beyond comfy are but a few words chosen by my cousin to describe her recent stay at the 'Queen Bee & B' Merthyr Tydfil. She was made to feel very welcome by the owners Julie & Byron and would highly recommend this beautiful B & B as a place to stay. On behalf of both myself and Denise we would like to say thankyou for your amazing hospitality and for making her stay in Wales (albeit a short one) a wonderful experience. She looks forward to returning in the near future, until then she'd like to say keep enjoying what you are doing and hope your new business goes from strength to strength because you deserve it.

They say bee-uety comes from within and it sure does from the gorgeous interior decor and the hosts themselves..... Truly the best bed&breakfast we have stayed in, with 2 young children we were made to feel like family, cannot rate this place highly enough, you would be a fool to consider anywhere else in South Wales. Can't wait to return, 5⭐️+
