The over priced one bedroom apartment was small dark and poorly furnished. The "locals favorite" breakfast was not included and disappointing. Notice there are no pictures of their property on their site.

The Inn at Tamarind Court tries hard to do a good job for their guests, but the fundamental structure and location of the hotel makes it a poor choice for most vacation travelers. The rooms are very clean, freshly painted in a light yellow and have cute bamboo-tropical furniture. The outdoor bar-restaurant serves up good drinks and delicious breakfast. The...

We stayed at the Saint John Inn on our first night and ended staying here. In comparison, we liked this place better. It's hard to find a easily accessible place at a better rate. Don't forget, everything is expensive on the island, so this isn't your standard $175 hotel level.

THe bad: the building is old and falling apart, and the room was very worn looking. Paint chipping, scary shower, ect. BUT, this is a island, and for budget lodging, it isn't bad. We stayed in the apt room, and it was surprisingly large. We found it weird that there was not a tv in the bedroom, but oh well,...

This was our second trip to St. John, the first time we stayed at Garden by the Sea. Inn at Tamarind was a little bit cheaper, and there was a big difference in quality of lodging. If you are looking for something basic and convenient to Cruz Bay, this is your place. They cleaned the room daily, and the room...
