If you like hot showers, air conditioning, daily room service, this is not the place for you. After the closure of Maho campground, we wanted to find a new campground on St John. ...yes I said a campground. Why spend the money to come to a tropical paradise and sit in a climate-control hotel room with a TV and a...

We stopped by to use the facilities after a day at the beach and the entire building is under construction. Nothing was available-not even restrooms. We asked and were told it should be up in about a month. It looked like extensive work was being done.

We (2 gals in our early 30's) camped here for 10 days. This campground was a typical campground - picnic tables provided, decent bathroom and shower facilities (outdoor showers, which was pretty cool). Most of the tent sites also had tarps already in place to further shelter tents from rain (this was absolutely needed!). Our site was 30 feet from...

The most beautiful beach, wildlife and nature ...We enjoyed the simplicity of the campground and our beachfront cabins... Nice coral reefs and great swimming. It's near Maho bay where we swam with magnificent sea turtles ...However , new management , Redwood Campground is taking over , all the long term employees ( all locals, not like other resorts that hire...

We took a taxi around the island and stopped at Cinnamon Bay. I doubt there is a more perfect and beautiful beach! The water is crystal clear and calm. The campsite looked great with a restaurant on site! The bathrooms were clean and there is a small museum near the beach.

Stayed here in cabin 10 for three days. Based on the reviews, and information on the campground website, I arrived prepared. My cabin was clean, beds were made with clean ironed sheets. The kitchen utensils and dishes were also clean and organized in a single cabinet in the corner of the cabin. There were to fans mounted on opposite side...

We almost cancelled our trip after reading the reviews. We were glad we didn't. We had a wonderful time at the cabins at Cinnamon Bay. The staff was helpful. Yes, it could take some maintenance, and the store was disappointing but it's camping people!!

While the campground facilities are very tired and need in upgrading this still remains by far the best and longest beach on the island. Snorkeling off of the rocks on the far right side of the beach still produces wonderful underwater sea life. We look forward to the new management company and hope that the upgrades will not Drive campers...

Beautiful view and gorgeous beach but this IS camping. There are amenities but you must get ice, bring your own food and be prepared for wildlife. In July lunch is available and there is ice and a store on the premises but it closes at 3:45. If you love to camp and want to do it in a beautiful location...

This was our second stay in the Cottages, and will not be our last! Cinnamon Bay is amazing! This is camping, so if that is not your thing then stay at a resort or hotel. I will never stay anywhere else as long as the cottages are here!
