We just returned from a long weekend getaway at the Riu. We previously traveled to this same hotel in October 2014 and found it enjoyable (girls weekend we drank more then we ate). This trip we traveled in couples. We arrived early from the airport and were unable to check in until 2pm (which is earlier than advertised). Felicity our...

I've travelled the world and visited a few RIU resorts both in Spain, Morocco and Bulgaria. Coming to RIU Palace Paradise Island of course I had high expectations staying at an All Inclusive 24h hotel. Check in was excellent with an upgrade to a family suite on the 8th floor. Room was quite average but clean. A quick review of...

This was our second stay at this all-inclusive hotel. Last year under a different management the rooms were clean and adequate, the food was good, each restaurant was easy to schedule, and the facilities delightful with a friendly and helpful staff. Under a new general management several policies have changed and very little of the old charm and convenience remains....

First off all, the Bahamas is wonderful. The Bahama locals are extremely friendly and warm people. The really enjoy life and you can feel there happiness. The staff from the Riu hotel are very professional and also very friendly. I felt really ashamed to see how low and respect less some other guest from the hotel treated them. But never the...

I absolutely hated my stay at the Riu, Paradise Island and I advise everyone not to go there. The hotel was a complete failure. Nothing was working, not the cable, phones or hot water. The lobby even had an off smell.. The General Manager a man named Nicholas was down right rude and horrible. How can someone with that attitude...

Despite my first review from a few years ago, we decided to give it another try. Mostly because it is right next to the Atlantis and we love the Casino at the Atlantis. We had a bad experience. There was a raving lunatic by the pool that wanted to start a fight with my son for no apparent reason. I...

Food and beverage were ok. Hotel activities were lacking. Rooms were ok. Next time, I would go for more luxurious hotel. Great that we were by Atlantis. Beach was the best if you could get past the intrusive vendors.

When we first walked in there was a leak in the lobby. This resort if you want to call it that because it is so small is the worst place we have ever stayed at. The rooms are full of mold and out dated. The staff is rude and most of the time when we ordered drinks it would take...
