Great little resort on Shannas Bay on the North End of the island. Great location! Stayed for a week and rented a car from Yardie's to bop around the island a few days. The beach is pristine and you can walk for miles or grab...More
My husband and I visited Cat Island three years ago and we loved the tranquility of the island so much that we decided to go back again, this year. We stayed at a different hotel in 2015, but happened upon Tail Winds and its owner,...More
like the popular Bare Naked Ladies song goes, "I'd buy me this beautiful resort" that just came up for sale the week before we arrived. Richie built this resort from the ground up and has maintained it in such incredible condition you'll be amazed to...More

There are curtains on the windows and patio doors; obviously if you leave them open those passing by can look in, that being said though, the deck is large between the rooms, someone wanting to see inside your room would have to purposely walk close by to see in. Is helpful to leave the curtains closed during the day when the afternoon sun is at its highest to keep your room cool, also so the air conditioning doesn't have to work so hard. And of course, if you leave your curtains open at night with the lights on, then those outside on the deck can see inside. There's enough greenery between the resort and the beach that those walking by at night would have to try real hard to look in.
We stayed in Hannah's Hangar - it's beachfront - and left our curtains open at night so we could wake up to see the ocean from the bed. Some nights we turned the ac off, opened the windows and patio doors (all screened), opened the curtains to fall asleep and wake up to the ocean sounds. Ahhhhhh.......
As far as skinny-dipping goes: depends on your comfort level!!
