Ten of us had dinner here. Menu was good, plenty of fish choices. Everyone seemed please with their choices and everything was eaten. My braised Welsh beef was probably the most 'boring'. but that was just a poor selection, it was well cooked. The sardines I had as a starter were lovely and two of the party had venison which...

Excellent food, service, staff and location. The menu was varied but not exhausting. Expect to pay more than your average restaurant but expect to be served a higher than normal standard of food and service. Would highly recommend. If you pick a dry sunny day then the outdoor area is also very welcoming.

Really lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Place looks fab outside with an attractive terrace for al fresco summer dining and inside appears to comprise of a few different bar/eating areas. Sunday lunch was good and plentiful. Busy so booking is recommended. Parking limited out front.

We had a celebration meal for 12 people on Friday night. The menu choice was excellent and the food was delicious - try the crab cakes and venison. The atmosphere was buzzing with lots of people in the restaurant. We can certainly recommend the Beaufort.

I stopped here for one night and was instantly welcomed by Miguel who was friendly and warm. The place had a lovely feel about it and the rooms were clean and tidy. The whole experience was relaxed and there was a good vibe with a real buzz of different people. Would definitely return and recommended.

2nd visit in a couple of months. Returned because the 1st visit we had a good meal. This time parts of the meal were not good and the beef was horrific. The meringue also was supposed to have winter berries but just had strawberries. Waiters managed to mix up order of crevettes and king prawns. Food and bar service very...

My wife and I have visited this hotel for lunch several times as a halfway stop between Warwick and Carmarthen. It's in an interesting area and decided it would make a good base for our annual reunion. We were not disappointed. Check in was easy and welcoming. Rooms were cosy, nicely decorated with comfy beds and good en suites. A...

This lovely hotel and restaurant made me very welcome when I checked in yesterday and one of the staff helped me even more by looking up bus timetables and filling me in on some of the details I needed to research my family history in this area. The hotel is handy for trips to Chepstow or Monmouth as there are...

My husband and I really enjoyed our anniversary meal here. Calamare is the best I have ever tasted! For main we both had the lamb shank which was delicious - the meat fell off the bone. The service was very friendly too. We hope to eat here again.

I had a slightly larger room than average as the others were fully booked, and it was very good. The food in the restaurant was excellent, albeit a bit expensive - I was surprised by how busy the restaurant was, it seemed full every night, so is obviously well thought of locally.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Beaufort is under new ownership since October 2015 and has had a vast refurbishment throughout. The rooms in the main hotel building have been tastefully decorated with rich sumptuous medieval colours whilst the Coach House has a fresh "New England" style decor. The inn oozes quality and old world charm. The food is brasserie style with a Mediterranean twist and you can see the fresh fish and seafood on display in the lovely display counter at the restaurant entrance. There are 2 course lunch and evening special menus which are very good value and a full a la carte menu complemented by a vast wine list. ... more   less
