A lovely easy to find hotel in the heart of Neath. The hotel had been decked out for Christmas and the reception was very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely and warm also on a cold night. As we were out at a function we were late coming back to the hotel but were welcomed with a... More

I was on my own and the welcome received by reception and then later the bar and waiting staff was really nice and friendly.Dinner was good, nothing fancy, just honest food. The room was a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. I'll stay again.

Can't comment on the rooms or the general hotel itself as I didn't stay the night but if the food is anything to go by then STAY AWAY!! My girlfriend ordered the lasagne which apart from tasting like rubber was actually cold and the "beer battered fish" was terrible. I used to eat in the Castle quite often a few... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Downstairs reception and bar ok with panelled walls etc and staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good and good sized portions. The disappointing part was the bedroom and bathroom. Bedroom area clean but felt like it needed an update whereas the bathroom definitely did need a refurbishment. Free carpark is close by but is... My husband and I had booked the castle 3 years prior to our wedding date. We had such amazing day. The staff were so friendly and always happy to help. The day ran like clockwork taking into account our diverse family needs. The food was absolutely stunning. For our reception we had vegetable soup as our starter, Turkey dinner for... More

Great meal and excellent venue. One of the best restaurants in Neath and a great place to stay.I am unsure of how busy the evening would be but its best to book a table during the afternoon.Stayed there a few years ago and room was excellent and great breakfast.

We used Castle hotel to hold the wake for my late Grandmother's funeral. The staff were more than helpful especially Ann who help my aunt organise everything at such a difficult time. We used the Canterbury room and had a light buffet which was beautifully prepared and presented and competitively priced. Would definitely consider the Hotel for any future events.
