First time to this site. Grandma, Grandad (me) son and his partner and 3 1/2 y.o. Granddaughter. Firstly, accommodation. Spacious enough, very clean (wouldn't be surprised if ours was a brand new addition) and catered for our every need. As you should expect of a 3 bed static, the double bedroom was reasonably spacious and each of the twin bedrooms although a little tight for space were adequate. I am the cook so I am pleased to say our caravan was equipped with an excellent set of sharp knives together with an even better set of scoville Never stick cookware. The site in general was fairly quiet as you might expect for 3rd week in June, this meant the covered outdoor pool was excellent for our Granddaughter with limited swimming ability, although at the end of our visit she was so much more comfortable with the water than when we arrived. We didn't sample the club food and the evening club was a little quiet, but I would expect both a very agreeable for an evening spent on camp. There are plenty of local attractions to fully occupie each day, however I would make a special comment for a local family pub with a fantastic menu! The Ferry inn is only a 10 minute walk away. Good choice of ales, a menu you can't fail to appreciate and service to match. It can initially appear to be a little on the expensive side, however there is little doubt every dish is made in-house, fresh each day and so worth the little extra it demands.
The best comment I can leave is despite the abundance of such short family breaks available, I wouldn't hesitate to return

We have just stayed here for 7 nights and we honestly loved it! The cottage is fantastic, very spacious and clean. We have 2 beagles and 2 kids aged 10 and 14 and we did wonder before we got here the kids may be bored but they were not and there was plenty for them to do! The pool was great and we were here during the heatwave so the roof had been opened on the pool which was great. There are different sessions throughout the day and you must book beforehand, we went every day with no problems booking in. The kids went to the arcade they have every night and we went to the bar, which was all reasonably priced. There is a small football pitch and playground which looked really good, our kids were a little bit too big for this but not a problem for us! We ate from the tiki takeaway and the food was gorgeous! Poppit sands is the beach that is nearby, there is a path or you can walk on the road that leads up to the holiday park both are about a 10 minute walk. We went everyday, it’s such a beautiful beach. Dogs are restricted to the left side but are ok on the right. We did many things while here. We went to Tenby for the day, we did the nearby cardigan island coastal farm park which was a great day out and we saw seals, and we did a boat trip and saw dolphins in new quay. We went to cardigan town most days and there are some great shops, I recommend the cheesecakes from truly scrumptious and u melt me. There is a market in St. Dogmaels selling local produce on Tuesdays, while we went here we visited the Abbey which was very nice. We went to a nearby pub called the waterside hotel, we sat outside looking out to the river teifi. There is a Tesco, Aldi and B&M all within 10 mins drive. The staff at the park are all fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they are all so polite. The hot tub was cleaned twice a day in our cottage, the guys that come to clean were always polite and friendly too. This was our first time staying at a holiday park and we have really loved it. We have booked Cornwall for next year and we are actually considering changing it to here as we had such a great time! If you are thinking of booking here I recommend you do!

Loved it. Even with the lockdown restrictions, this is a fabulous place. The location is perfect, with attractions a short drive away, and the loveliest beach a pleasant 10 minute walk via a wooded pathway.

The caravan itself (we had number 18) was spotless, and well equipped. We had enough space around us to have our own area to eat and my daughter to play (easy to make friends too!). Very dog friendly too.

Kids playground was brilliant and safe, although my daughter who is 7 did want 'big girl swings' as they only have baby ones.

Pool was lovely, warm and clean, as were all the common areas. The bar was well stocked, and the bar lady was utterly delightful.

We ate from the restaurant once, but as a takeaway service due to the covid restrictions. Easy to order, and nice.

All in all we had a wonderful week at Cardigan Bay, and would 100% recommend it. We will be back for sure.

We have just returned home after a fabulous Easter break at Cardigan Bay Caravan Park. None of the facilities were open, due to Covid but this was explained to us prior to our holiday commencing. Whilst the activities looked great, their closure did not stop us from having a fabulous stay. Our 2 children (12 & 10) had a wonderful time! The caravan park is nestled in a valley and surrounded by fields and woodland. The sound of the owls in the evening was just magical and relaxing. Due to the park being situated in a valley, we had no phone signal whatsoever, which appears to be common; so the additional downside of this is that you have no internet connection and have to pay an additional £45 for all devices to have Wifi for a week (or £3 per day for one device). The beach is 5-10 minutes away via a footpath and there are plenty of beautiful walks to enjoy, with spectacular views! We are sometimes dubious when booking pet friendly accommodation but this did not disappoint. The caravan was spotless and the were staff amazing! Everyone was so friendly and if there is anything wrong, they put it right straight away (we had a problem with our shower)! There was a great park and football area for the children to play in, which they did daily. Unfortunately, the caravan parks bar etc. was closed and also the restaurants near by again due to Covid restrictions. However, again, this did not spoil the break at all. Cardigan town centre is only a matter of 15 minutes away by car. Here you will find Tesco and Aldi etc. The town is lovely to walk around (would recommend Pendre Fish Bar on the High Street :-) Would also recommend a visit to Mwnt Beach (no dogs allowed). £4 for parking, no time limit, £4 regardless. Can pay by phone but again due to location, you probably won't have phone signal. Therefore, make sure you have change. Again, stunning views if you walk to the top of the mount. We would highly recommend Cardigan Bay Caravan Park and already have! We will definitely visit again!

Nice quiet site, not too big and seemed to be lots of private owned vans on site. Site was well kept, plenty of bins etc.

Caravan was pretty basic but everything was in good condition.

Only negative was its located in a small valley so no mobile signal on site at all, couldn't even ring or text anyone, they offer free WiFi around the pool area, but they charge £45pw for wifi in the caravan.
Given we'd paid well over a grand to stay here I would have expected free wifi for that in this day and age, especially as there is no mobile signal.
The last 5/6 sites we have stayed at have all offered free WiFi, it seems a basic service to offer nowadays.
Full signal down the beach.

The pool was lovely, we always managed to book a slot, was never that busy and the water temp was just right.

The road from Cardigan up to the site can be a bit of a nightmare at times, lots of single track sections.

Pleasant 10min walk down to the beach.

Food from the takeaway wasn't that great, small portions for the price.
Small shop by reception which is basically some shelves in a cupboard but it had all the basics if you run out of something..

Good points
We recently stayed in caravan 8 for 5 nights. Really good location and the weather was nice for a day or two. Only 10 minutes walk from beach. Swimming pool area was nice and clean and really enjoyable for us. Shop on site was also handy for the essentials. Car parking was near the caravan which again was good as we could see the car from the caravan.
Kitchen had everything you needed in it and a big fridge.
The TV was a good size. Overall a nice five days in the caravan.

Downsides
After closer inspection the caravan itself was immaculate in the kitchen and living area as well as bathroom. However on the bed duvet we noticed what looked to be blood. The cleaners would have clearly seen this when changing the bed as it was on the duvet not the duvet cover. When going into the kids room (even tho we didn’t have kids staying with us) there was also the same stain on the duvets which didn’t have covers on. As the bed sheets themselves were clean we decided to leave it but with COVID we didn’t feel this was good enough especially as it did look to be blood.

Another point is the caravan itself doesn’t have any lamps in the lounge or the bedroom so if you’re up late watching the TV you either have to have the big light on or sit in darkness.

Apart from some bad points I would recommend this site for families as it’s good value.

Thank you for the review. The stain on the duvet was not blood. The laundry use different small coloured tabs to mark its sheets and duvets, red being double, blue single etc... It looked like the dye just leaked through in one part. Glad you had a nice time.

Easy to find with great access to the large beach of Poppit Sands which has very fine sand and loads of dogs.

The road in from Cardigan and St Dogmaels has a few narrow places so be prepared to reverse ant to tuck in. There’s no priority given to vehicles going uphill like there’s supposed to be - exactly the opposite in fact.

The restaurant was reasonably priced and also prepared to serve a beef burger cooked rare which is usually an indicator of a place that prepares meat to order (but I don’t know for sure). The bar has a very small range of draught beers and a small range of bottled beers. Don’t know about wine, spirits etc.

Didn’t make use of other on-site facilities like the pool, hot tub or laundrette.

Car parking is quite limited and although the spaces are wide, the turning space is poor.

Caravan was mostly ok with decent shower, central heating and combo boiler. Pathetic bottled gas oven. Bigger tv would have been nice but it worked well. Kitchen sink too small and tap spout too low to fill a 1 litre thermos flask.

Storage space in the caravan was just about ok but drying space inside was very poor.

There is absolutely no telephone signal on site on any network that we tried. A local at the nearby pub told us that Three was probably the best around the area but as the Yanks would say, YMMV. There was a signal on the beach but for me on O2, the area was pretty poor. The site internet was excellent for speed, about 75 Mbit/sec download and rather usually, 85 Mbit/sec upload. Might be using a Ubiquiti system. One or two completely innocent web sites didn’t load but not sure where the failure occurred.

Dog friendly place and there’s plenty of them. One crapped right outside our caravan and the owner had only made a half-hearted attempt at a grab. Pretty foul with kids around.

In all, a pretty good place but be prepared for poor phone connectivity in loads of places and narrow roads (but with good surfaces).

Just in case your thinking of booking a caravan on this site be warned, you will have no access to the phone network. But you only have to walk 500 metres to the Lifeboat station and hey presto by magic it works. Um work it out yourselves. We complained
1) We didn't get the caravan we asked for.
2) We paid for WiFi as stated in the caravan
3) We couldn't get e mails even though we paid for Wi Fi
4) We were told our caravan would be labelled to say we were staying there. It wasn't
Result
1) We weren't offered the caravan we booked
2) We were told the Wi fi was included in the price.
3) They did sort out the wi fi by putting us on the what we thought must have been the residents code. Out of 10

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED. You booked a Poppit category caravan, but seeing as we were quiet at the park, we upgraded you to a Pembroke free of charge. A Poppit caravan does not come with free wifi as stated on your booking confirmation. We have no control over the mobile phone signal or on where your provider places their masts. To state to the Park Warden that we were somehow blocking your mobile phone signal, to make you spend £3 on wifi is not rational and very strange conspiracy theory indeed. For your information, EE works quite well in most areas of the park. Wifi is also accessible at reception free of charge. Perhaps had you taken the time to read the ULTRAFAST WIFI poster in your caravan, you would have seen that as you were staying in a Pembroke category and only needed to enter the voucher code onto your device to receive free internet. The £3 you paid on the pay-as-you-go platform was for one device only, and this was connected to both the router and the internet. The device you were attempting to receive emails on was only connected to the router and not the internet, and we could see this on our management portal. The Warden helped you out and got all your devices connected. What I do need to address was the report of your aggression and threatening behaviour towards our staff. I can assure you; had I been aware of your volatile behaviour at the time, you would have had a very short stay. We do not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse or threats of any kind, and we are thankful we do not experience it very often. I shall let all our other reviews and comments speak for our standards.

This is our 3rd time coming to Cardigan Bay for our family holiday. We usually stay in a Poppit Caravan but this time we stayed in the Pembroke. The caravan was lovely, clean and spacious. Plenty of seating area and table with 4 chairs. Due to covid it was contactless check in which worked really well. Free wi-if with instructions on how to set up, smart TV with Netflix (we couldn’t get this to work and the warden tried to set it up for us but couldn’t, this wasn’t an issue though as we didn’t really need it, it was just a bonus for the kids)

We used the pool most days, we had to book a session so there weren’t too many in there due to covid. The pool was nice and clean, wasn’t busy and the water was warm, the changing rooms are closed but no issue for us, we just wrapped up in a towel and walked back to the caravan.

The bar area was really cosy, we use the Tiki takeaway twice, the food was lovely. The menu wasn’t up to date on the website so the second time we ordered at the bar. Food was hot, packed in cardboard boxes, every meal was really nice, only feedback would be that the portions are small, however the children’s portions were spot on.

10 minute walk down to the beach, a pathway has been made and it makes a lovely little walk.

All staff are super friendly and always give you a hello and a smile.

Can’t wait to get booked up again for next year. This is our favourite place to go on holiday with our young children!!

Have just returned from a weekend break to this Caravan Park. A little out of the way but the journey was worth it. The Platinum caravan we were allocated was brand new, so everything shiny and clean. No instructions for the the central heating system or cooker, but we worked it out in the end. Normally caravan's come with a manual of some persuasion and I'm sure as the season progress's this will be addressed. Great facilities with full size built in fridge/Freezer, large microwave. Due to the location of the site, it will make shopping storage a lot easier as quite a way out of Cardigan. There is a Tesco's in the town, but as you go out of the town. Site has a bar and food facilities but prices are quite expensive, especially if you are on a budget. We had a pepperoni pizza, a basket of fish (not worth the money) and two pints which came to £42. Site also has a swimming pool which looked great and is free. Loads of kids using the facilities. Dogs are welcome on this site so if you are allergic or just do not like dogs in general make sure you ask for a dog free caravan. Site is very close to the estuary/sea and beach. Good walks all around
We didn't stay for the entertainment as the bar was already too noisy for us with the radio blaring, only to be told wait for 7 when disco Dave arrives.! Not for us but I'm sure the families with youngsters would enjoy. All in all we had a fab time in the area and the caravan was great. We will certainly return at some point in the future.

Unsure of this I’m afraid as the swimming pool was not available when we went due to Covid. I don’t think you would have to book through because it’s such a small site
