This was our first visit to Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages and we stayed in the Hayloft for 3 nights, and our only regret is that we didn’t book to stay longer. Firstly the Hayloft; 2 bedrooms, lounge diner, kitchen with a breakfast bar and bathroom. This is a self catering accommodation and it was kitted with everything necessary for self catering. All crockery, utensils, knives, tools along with welcome packs of tea and coffee, washing up liquid, washing machine tablets etc were provided. There was even complementary Welsh tea cakes and some superb locally made marmalade. The kitchen came with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, hob, extractor and microwave. We found everything we had at home with just one small exception, our Nespresso coffee maker, can’t really complain about that! The Hayloft, and everything in it, was spotless, almost like it had just been refurbished. Covid is being taken very seriously.
Outside, the farm is really well organised, tidy and with a calming ambience; very quiet. Car parking is great. We had a good night’s sleep every night. Locally there is a lot to do and see and we didn’t get around to using the swimming pool or the hot tub. A shame really as both looked really inviting. Never mind, all the more reason to return later in the year, which we plan to do.
Obviously the location and resort are only part of the story, both justifying the 5* rating, but the icing on the cake is the owners, Dave and Sue, and chief lieutenant Charmaine; couldn’t wish to meet nicer people and nothing is too much trouble for them.
All in all, a fantastic short break, highly recommended and hopefully to be repeated soon.

Thank you Dave, it was lovely to see you & Michelle. It was great that you've had the opportunity to stay with us at Croft after hearing us talk about it for so long. Glad you liked it as much as we do. See you again soon.

The owners were very accommodating and we stayed for 5 nights. We stayed in the Granary, which was small (we knew this from the website) but it had everything you would need and was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. The farm has lovely fields to walk around and see the animals and the animal feeding was a big hit. The pool is also great for small children and the booking system seems to work well. The farm is next to a main road, so there is some road noise, but it is a good location, not far from Cardigan, lovely beaches and other places to visit.

I never stay twice in the same place......but I stayed at Croft farm in August and again in the late October school holidays. My two boys begged me to take them back to Croft Farm which seems to be their happy place. It is also my happy place because as a single father it was so easy to keep my boys entertained and having fun and we all felt very at home there. Our hosts were wonderful. Sue made us feel so welcome. Every morning we joined Dave to feed the animals who gave us eggs with the most orange yolks from his chickens. The beautiful blonde lady in reception gave me lots of suggestions for local beaches and attractions. I have realised that this is a place for all seasons. In summer you can bbq outside in quiet private corners, in winter you can enjoy cosy moments in front of a roaring fire. At all times you can sink into a bubbling hot tub to relax while breathing the clean air of the Welsh countryside. Everything is first rate! We will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages. From the moment we arrived, Sue was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The farm was the perfect destination for our 2-year-old son, who loved feeding the animals every morning. The daily animal feeding became a highlight of our trip, especially thanks to Dave, the lovely farmer who guided us and shared fresh eggs from the hen house. Our son also made great use of the play barn, where he could safely play and meet the rabbits.
The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and we loved the peaceful surroundings. Croft Farm is a gem for families. Highly recommend!

Just come home from a wonderful relaxing 4 day break. We stayed at the Farmhouse. It was immaculate on arrival with fresh flowers in the kitchen and all you need to make a hot drink. The hot tub was fantastic and being able to book private swimming pool sessions was amazing- it’s not often you get a swimming pool (and sauna) to yourself! Farmer Dave was a big hit with the family, the kids loved feeding the animals with him every morning. Sue was really helpful and knowledgeable- she gave some great ideas of places to go. All in all a brilliant place for a relaxing family holiday.

We booked Croft House as part of my 60th birthday celebrations with the family, the house was soo spacious with bedrooms everywhere with nearly as many bathrooms. It was immaculate throughout, clean and fully equipped for 12 people. The facilities like the hot tub, pool and play barn were perfect as we ranged from 1 year to 82 years. Sue and Dave were great hosts and we all enjoyed feeding the animals with Dave not just the children. Its location was perfect for meals down in Cardigan, Gwbert and the Ferry in St Dogmeals. If it had rained every day it couldnt spoil the holiday as plenty to keep us occupied. We are still talking about it now and hope to revisit summertime next. Cant thank Sue and Dave enough as it was a lovely place to spend time together as a family.

This is a gem of a place. High quality and very clean accommodation, a pool that can be easily booked (a really good idea), play areas and animals for kids, a lauderette, and in a great spot from which to jump in the car and (within minutes) visit the sea and the attractions of the inland villages. The owners and the admin and cleaning team are first-class, and nothing is too much trouble.

Just back from a fantastic week at Croft Farm. We stayed in Croft House which was brilliant for our multigenerational family, with plenty of space for everyone and lots of bathrooms. A well equipped kitchen and dining room with washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a fantastic large table everyone can get around to eat. A lovely enclosed garden which was very safe for the dog and a private hot tub where you can relax. Beds were comfy and the house was clean and gardens well kept.
Everyone loved the swimming pool and feeding the animals in the morning with farmer Dave. The play area and indoor play barn was also much enjoyed by the 2 year old in our party.
The beach at Newport was ideal and only a short drive away and Poppit Sands was good too (both dog friendly).
We had a fantastic week and wish we were still there. Thank you.

We stayed in The Dairy for 8 nights over the Christmas holidays, where we had a fantastic holiday. The owners Dave and Sue do such an incredible job and their hard work and kindness made our stay go above and beyond our expectations.
The cottage was fitted with everything you could possibly need, Sue and Dave had really thought of everything. They had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations, Christmas table sheet, a Christmas wreath and candle on the table with mince pies and local marmalade welcoming us on our arrival. They’d even made a Christmas quiz which we enjoyed doing on Christmas Day! The kingsize bed was very comfortable and our son loved having the upstairs den as his own bedroom.
The facilities on site were very good for families, with the play barn, swimming pool, sauna, games room with small soft player area, gym, outdoor play park and petting animals area with rabbits and guinea pigs that you could get out and stroke anytime. One of the main highlights of our stay was that our son loving being able to feed the farm animals every morning. He loved helping farmer Dave who did a fantastic job in making our son feel involved and telling us all about the animals on the farm. Being able to book the swimming pool for private use worked really well for us with a toddler, where he was able to splash around in the pool without worrying he was disturbing others. The only annoyance is other guests booked the swimming pool to not end up turning up, which was frustrating at times when we would have liked to have gone swimming but couldn’t as the sessions had been booked out but the swimming pool was empty. I can’t see what the owners could do to prevent this from happening so I guess it is just one of those annoying things!
We were all very sad to leave at the end of our stay and it is a big credit to Sue and Dave for making our stay so enjoyable. We will certainly be returning and cannot wait to come back soon.

We very nearly almost booked centre parcs instead of here and I am SO glad we didn’t!! We had such an amazing week. We stayed in the farmhouse as a family of two adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. We all had such a lovely time. The cottage was very clean on arrival, really spacious with lots of storage in each room.
The kitchen was the most well equipped of any cottage we have ever stayed in. Washing up liquid, anti bac spray, dishwasher tablets, salt, pepper. They had everything we needed, even down to scales for baking! The only tiny downside I would say it was tiny was that there was no child locks on the kitchen cupboards so we spent the first few days taking glass pots, bbq tools and cutlery off our one year old. We then just decided to have a little move around of everything instead for the rest of the week to make it safer.
The child friendly aspect of the cottages is amazing! We have never stayed anywhere like this before. Before we even arrived they offered us a travel cot, high chair, booster chair, bed guard, toilet step, toilet seat, potty. It felt like they had thought of everything. Our cottage had plastic cups, bowls, plates and cutlery in. Stairs gates were fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs. There was a bath mat in the bath (which was lovely and clean). The children absolutely loved the play barn with all the toys in. It was great in wet weather to take them to burn of some energy for an hour and I could read a book in peace while they played happily! The outside play area was also great, really well kept.
Swimming pool - due the to current covid restrictions you have to book online and you can only go swimming per cottage you are staying in. We actually really enjoyed this. It was super easy to book. The children loved the swimming and they gained so much confidence from our week away. The pool was always clean and warm. I really like the no outdoor shoes rule to keep it clean.
Animal feeding - again due to the restrictions you have to book online prior to this but it was super easy to book. Both children absolutely loved doing this with Dave. He was really great with them. On the drive home our 3 year old said she was going to miss farmer Dave!
We loved having our own hot tub with the farm house. It was lovely to relax in the evening once the children were in bed. For those travelling with little ones, our baby monitors reached out there fine.
If you are thinking of booking, please do. You won’t regret it. We had the most lovely relaxing week! I didn’t ever think that would be possible with a 1 & 3 year old but it turns out you just need to find a lovely family friendly place like Croft Farm!

Thank you for our first TripAdvisor review since we took over in January. We are very pleased you didn't go to Centre Parcs 🙂 and found us instead. So glad you enjoyed Croft as much as we do. We will take on board your comment about child locks on the kitchen cupboards. Hopefully see you again soon.
