Just got back from a week’s stay at Celtic haven. The whole site is maintained to a really high standard, the cottage we stayed in was a real home from home.My husband enjoyed using the golf course which was free to use,he also loved the sauna and ice room. The swimming pool was nice and warm, which my 20 month old granddaughter appreciated, everywhere was spotlessly clean. The staff were all really helpful and went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable,we would definitely stay there again hopefully sooner rather than later, thanks Celtic haven for a great holiday.
Self catering heaven. A perfect little barn conversion with every convenience. It was sparklingly clean, felt very safe covid-wise. The great bonus was being able to book a slot in the pool so for the first time in forever it was safe for us to swim. We hope to come back later in the year.
This is the second time we have stopped at Celtic Haven, The cottages are lovely and clean, roomy with everything you could need. The golf course is free along with the indoor heated pool. There are many activities on site including table tennis and play area. The golf course is a little basic but ok and the pool is absolutely gorgeous. A special mention goes to the staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, The complex enjoys some lovely views. We had a lovely holiday and we will definitely be returning for a third time as soon as we can.
Perfect place for a family holiday. Classy and only a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay, the weather was terrible but we used the pool and the indoor table tennis hut, and then we discovered that we could use the facilities at the caravan park on the beach. The cottage we stayed in was spotless and comfortable, the furniture was high class. Definitely be back
Good location with Tenby & Saundersfoot close by with adequate bus service. Attractive, well maintained grounds. Plenty to do on-site - for adults & children. Cottage clean with every facility provided. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bar area - just a shame open only three evenings. Restaurant closed during our stay but other excellent restaurants available within a couple of miles in each direction. Can drive to Lydstep beach through neighbouring Haven holiday park. Lovely coastal walks on doorstep.
This is our first stay at Celtic Haven and we loved it! Great cottage, well equipped, with lovely views. Beautiful location very quiet and peaceful. Nice pool which is always something that we use and great to have it on site. Only complaint was the opening times are only 10-4. 8-6 would be much better if you want to go out for the day. The reception staff were all excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed. This is a shame as such a lovely setting with beautiful views!
We have stayed here for 12 years this year and it’s one of our favourite places. We managed to stay in our favourite cottage (Boot Cottage) which we have been in twice before. The holiday was lovely but what was the weak link? Celtic Haven itself. Unfortunately the resort, which we have seen thriving, looks as though it’s seen better days. So much of it is wasted. The Waves restaurant has always been a bit silly - why have an Italian restaurant in an ancient Celtic village? But it wasn’t even open when we stayed. It has the most beautiful view, with hundreds of chairs and tables. And it’s wasted! Get it open for morning coffee and it would make a killing, and if you don’t believe me, look at the Bubbleton Farm Shop just down the road, which is where we and a lot of fellow guests went every morning for an amazing coffee and brunch. Sadly the facilities weren’t much better, some of them actually laughable. The pool is open 10-4 with an hour closed between 1-2. How nonsensical is that?! Firstly, it means that the pool, already small, is rammed. Additionally, people want to swim early morning or in the evening (prime time swimming when you’re on holiday) but it’s not open then! How are people supposed to go out for the day if they have to structure their swim around these awful times? The gym is equally silly. In previous years these were both open late into the night (we know because we used them then). What’s happened? I fear that COVID will be used as an excuse……. Essentially we come here to have a lovely holiday in a beautiful resort full of amenities. Unfortunately this time we just got a lovely cottage. So we could have gone anywhere really! At 6pm in the evening we and our neighbours would all sit out the front of our cottages and have an evening drink - what a shame that there isn’t a facility here to be able to do so! Ultimately we love staying in Tenby, it has lovely memories for us. And yes we will probably give Celtic Haven another go. But it’s very sad to see a once thriving holiday community dying. Perhaps the owners are preparing to sell or close? Time will tell.…
Great stay. Super easy. Staff lovely. Will come back. Lovely place. Thank you Great facilities. Cooking was just like home. Great shower. Garden and seating outside to eat. Really recommend. Is a restaurant on site for ease if don’t want to cook
Great week at Celtic Haven staying in the Old Forge. Really well well equipped cottage. Excellent Elemis spa treatments. Enjoyed having the swimming pool close by, but rather disappointed with the opening hours as an early morning swim would have been nice. Brilliant location for exploring this part of the Pembrokeshire coast. Have visited Celtic Haven a number of times before & plan to return.
A absolutely fabulous complex outstanding value for money close to everywhere in west wales to visit al heritage sites …… accommodation excellent and clean dog friendly a big bonus we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks down their and will return. Staff lovely and friendly and helpful
