If you’re coming to Pembrokeshire, you should probably visit Porthgain; and if you’re in Porthgain, you should definitely stay at Yr Hafan. We arrived after a long day of walking from Fishguard and were blown away by the comfort of our room and the warm welcome from Anthony & Jane - including booking us a table at the local pub! Breakfast was delicious, large and locally sourced (don’t miss the orange and whisky marmalade); walking in the area was stunning; and Anthony & Jane couldn’t have been more helpful in suggesting how to get the most out of our time in the area. In short, can’t recommend Yr Hafan highly enough. Superb.

We stayed in Pencaer Cottage, a wonderful cottage for 2. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. Jane and Tony take great pride in their cottages and this shows in cleanliness and quality of items/furnishings in the cottage. They had thought of everything. There was lovely patio area at the end of the cottage which was quite private and the views were stunning. The weather allowed us to have our evening meal outside and enjoyed the far reaching sights. The location of the property was a 35 minute walk to Porthgain where we had meals in The Shed and drinks in The Sloop. We could not fault our week away and definitely look forward to our return visit. We would not hesitate to recommend Yr Hafan. Thank you Jane and Tony.

We had a wonderful stay in the Abercaslte Suite. Anthony and Jane, our hosts, gave us a very warm welcome, which made us feel very comfortable straight away. The great view from the beautiful garden invites you to relax on one of the many seating areas. I also recommend everyone to take the delicious and varied breakfast - it was perfect. We already miss this beautiful place and hope to come back someday.

Penberi is a delightful converted barn accomodation for 2. Everything is top quality, providing a warm, comfortable base for the beautiful area. Views from the property and lovely gardens outstanding. Lovely shower, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean, an abundance of good quality towels, Private patio with table & chairs. Fantastic walks nearby found in the books on the shelf. Would hope to return. Jane & Anthony, the hosts are lovely, hardworking, knowledgeable people. The “extras” supplied were greatly appreciated. You won’t regret booking here.

We had a glorious sunny week in this beautiful area of Wales . Blue skies and sun for our walks on the Pembrokeshire coastal path then back to Hafan Bach where we were so comfortable in this lovely cottage with sea views and tasteful decor. The cottage has everything with lots of special touches . Our hosts were warm and friendly and always there for advice . The garden is an absolute haven for relaxing in .. so many lovely areas to sit in after our walks . A really special place !

Yr Hafan exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed in Abercastle, a beautifully appointed room with high ceilings, exposed beams, underfloor heating and stylish decor. The breakfast, which was brought to us in a quaint picnic basket every morning, was delicious and generous. The owners, Anthony and Jane are the sort of people you would love to have living next door to you, just lovely people! We had a perfect 4 night stay.

We had the most wonderful time at the Penberi Cottage. Everything we needed was already there and a lot thought has gone into decorating and making the cottage homely and comfortable. The coastal views are stunning from the cottage windows. Jane and Anthony are friendly and happy to help, they have created a beautiful place for a holiday with a pretty and loved garden. You can walk to the coastal path and there are so many walking options locally. Will definitely go back.

Simply a B&B which has so many outstanding features from its setting overlooking Trefin and the stunning panoramic views of the coast to the equally tasty breakfasts served up by the very warming hosts Anthony and Jane Smith. The interior and fittings of the room was very tasteful and in keeping with cottage feel. A very expansive and well maintained garden adds to the relaxing atmosphere ..Overall Yr Hafan is a very special place which is clearly evidence in Anthony and Jane’ relaxed and warming approach to their guests.

We spent 4 nights here in the Bed and Breakfast Room Abercastle in May/June 2021 for my 50th birthday. Before the holiday had even begun Anthony and Jane had guided us through many ideas for ways to pass the time whilst we were staying in Wales - the most generous hosts with their knowledge and time. When we arrived the room had in it a card and a bottle of fizz which was not expected but was most appreciated. The converted barn is of a very high standard, well decorated and maintained - underfloor heating and great shower. You have a fridge, sofa, dining table and tv as well as as much coffee, tea and water as you wish. The locally sourced breakfast was brought to you each morning in a picnic basket which allowed you eat at a table on the lawn overlooking the sea - glorious. Yr Hafan also has some beautiful landscaped gardens with secret seating areas to soak up the relaxing vibes. There are also 3 self-catering cottages for those who like to cook their own food on holiday which are as beautiful. I cannot say enough about how brilliant this place is to stay; perfect place in a perfect location with perfect hosts - it's in my UK top 3 of boutique B&Bs. All my love and thanks for making my birthday so chilled and memorable.

We stayed in the Bed and Breakfast for a few days and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They brought Breakfast to our room each morning, and the breakfast was always great. The room has everything you need and the views from the garden are amazing. I would highly recommend Yr Hafan!
