The impressive farmhouse covered in virginia creeper offers excellent accommodation, of two large bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. One double with a fine restored Antique half tester bed and one twin bedded room. Fluffy bathrobes, hospitality trays, hairdryers, and radios in each room. The house is spacious and furnished with family Antiques, guests have their own sitting room to sit or watch television. There is a single room available to parties of three traveling together. The farmhouse is set away from the farm in a large picturesque garden which offers quiet relaxation. Close by is our Ancient wood which in late Spring has a spectacular show of bluebells and wild garlic. Bowett is a working Dairy and sheep farm, one mile west of Pembroke on the Angle peninsular on the edge of the Milford Haven waterway. The well known Pembrokeshire Coastal Path crosses the farm. There are good eating places nearby as we do not do evening meals.

My wife and I stayed here for one night while travelling around Wales. We had a lovely welcome with a pot of tea in Royal Doulton china. Tea is always nicer in china! The room was comfortable and shower was hot. The breakfast was excellent. One of the best I have had in a B&B. The area is nice too. Several pubs in Solva with some great places to eat. There is a hill to walk down into the village which does mean walking back up it later but was a pleasant evening so we really enjoyed this. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I had a very nice stay here at "Aelwyd," which John, the owner, told us means, "the warmth of the hearth." It is also neat that he sells homemade jams and marmalades in his kitchen. You really do get the use of the house, so there was everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I recommend this place and will stay here again if we ever pass through beautiful Solva. By the way, the walk here from Broadhaven was one of the most spectacular days filled with incredible sea cliffs, animals, and ocean views.

We had previously stayed in the self catering annex to Aelwyd but this time we booked in for B & B. John & Julia do their best to make you feel very welcome and put on a superb breakfast. Homemade jams and marmalades and if you are lucky, John will have some for sale. We had the downstairs room with a separate shower room just along side. Stacks of hot water for the shower and our room was very comfortable. Whilst there were not tea & coffee facilities in our room, John left a pot of tea on a stool outside our room each morning at an agreed time. We were also free to make tea and coffee (squash too) in the kitchen. There were 2 double bedrooms upstairs which were en-suite and one which had a lounge as well. Short walk into Solva where plenty of pubs to chose an evening meal at. We would return if in this area again
