Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our 3 night break at Bank House was a real tonic. Helen and Anthony are superb hosts and the accommodation is spotlessly clean. Their home is on a quiet country lane so you’re guaranteed tranquil surroundings yet it’s only a ten minute walk down to the centre of the village. The breakfast choices were also excellent - fresh strawberries and blueberries or a full Welsh cooked breakfast with other options in between. If visiting Solva again we would love to return to Bank House.

We stayed here for a 3 night break and what a lovely place to stay. The hosts were fab, such a lovely couple who were welcoming and accommodating. We were given a room at the front of the house with a sea view. It had an en-suite shower room with plenty of clean towels. It was all spotlessly clean. The bed however had a mattress with springs which were “pingy” whenever you moved or turned over. Now the breakfast here was something else! We had the full “Welsh Breakfast”. Bacon, eggs, sausages, black pudding, tomato, mushrooms, beans and hash brown. This comes with tea or coffee and toast. There’s also cereals, yoghurts and a wonderful choice of fresh fruits including strawberries and blueberries. Oh and not forgetting my husbands favourite “Welsh Cakes”! Once you’ve eaten breakfast it will keep you going until your evening meal. We had a lovely stay here and would love to go back one day. Would definitely recommend. 😊

I received the most wonderful welcome I can recall when I arrived at Bank House. The hosts are literally amazing, sociable and informative. Nothing was too much to ask or request, and there was no imposed contact unless sought/wanted. Bank House is a fantastic house, spacious and comfortable with a massive living room downstairs, while upstairs there are two double ensuite rooms and a smaller single room that has access to a separate but simply huge bathroom. The view from the window took in the not so distant sea, coast and nice area nearby. Breakfast was at the time of choice in the morning, a good choice on the menu for hot food (DO consider the Full Welsh!), while also providing an awesome layout of cereals, fresh fruits etc accessible if desired. In summary, this is a magical place to stay, and as said in another review here, after staying here I would agree that Bank House is the ONLY place you should look to. You would be guaranteed the warmest welcome and comfortable stay ever!

We stayed for 3 nights and found our hosts to be very welcoming. The room was lovely, if a little small, with a great sea view. The breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions on local amenities, the bus timetable, directions and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path walk. Truly beautiful.

Bank House. Nice quiet location. Good parking. Large guest sitting room. Tea on arrival. Very good breakfast, lots of choice. Nice size room with distant view of the sea. Small but adequate bathroom. Handy location for Solva and the coast path.

We were in room 1 which had a lovely view and very clean and up to date bathroom and shower. Only here for one night but made to feel at home and relaxed. Pillows were a little unforgiving but any lack of sleep was most likely my excitement at meeting up with my cousin from the area after 45 years.

A too short visit to a lovely Welsh home. The hosts were brilliant, talking us in on the mobile when a little lost. The room was really clean and quaint with a comfy bed. Breakfast was very good and 😌 relaxed. Great walks down to the sea 🌊. Thank you.

The up and down walk from New gale to Solva will definitely create the need for a restful night. The Bank House BNB provided what was needed. The entire place especially the sitting area was nicely done and great attention to detail everywhere. We slept very soundry and had a wonderful breakfast before heading out on last leg of walk to St Davids.
