If you need to unwind, then enjoy luxury glamping at our Treehouse Retreat where it’s pretty much impossible to stay wound up. Lie back and relax in our comfy chairs, chill in the huge hammocks strung between the stilts and, of course, soak amongst the bubbles in our hot tubs out on the decking. That is assuming that you ever make it out of the incredibly comfortable beds.

Everything was perfect on arrival, I'm a really cold person and the temperature had really dropped outside during our 4 night stay and I was convinced it wouldn't be warm enough inside, but it definitely was. There's a radiator plus 2 little heaters under the kitchen units which were nice on our feet in a morning 😂 The first day we used one of the maps (2 OS maps and some other bits and bobs on local walks are provided) and just tracked a local circular around the area, another day we drove to Knigton and did a big section of Offas Dyke (highly reccomend), also visited Powis Castle.. we did want to go to see the Red Kites being fed however only open on weekends in the off season, which we are used to as we generally only come on these types of holidays in winter when a lot of things are working on reduced hours.. so worth double checking pubs etc for opening times. We had a really good Thai in Newtown also. Trawscwm is the furthest away and we did arrive in the dark but we found it easily enough with our torches but I would reiterate you DO need a torch, your walking boots and to pack light as it is a fair walk from the car park to the treehouse up a little bit of an incline etc. Nothing strenuous and if you've booked somewhere as remote as this then you'll hopefully enjoy the little treck anyway.. for the additional bit of walking you are rewarded with the most private and secluded treehouse and (in my opinion) in the best spot 🥰 I think the treehouse is absolutely perfect for a couple, there was a little welcome pack of some cake (which was amazing), butter, lemonade, coffee and tea and also some lovely local shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom incase you forget those. The decor is beautiful, hot tub was perfect temperature and overall I genuinely can't fault a single thing. We'd love to come back ❤️

We had a wonderful couple of days in cadwollens treehouse with our 6 month old baby. The treehouse was so cosy and clean and had all the amenities we needed. We also ordered a cosy hamper which was delicious. The hot tub had incredible views and the copper bath was luxurious! Would definitely stay again!

Awful customer service and no Human Empathy. Was booked to go for my aunts 60th and she unexpectedly passed away so had to cancel. They then advised they pushed to rebook dates so we could get a refund I saw no proof they did this in their socials and then they refused any kind of refund Absolutely disgusting, it’s not like they aren’t fully booked for most of the time and this one booking would make a huge difference to them!!!

We are sorry to see that you were really unhappy with how we dealt with the situation. We advertised the break twice on our social media platform really hoping that it would get booked so that we could offer you a refund. Unfortunately it didn't. We showed empty throughout our exchanges as it must have been an awful time for you all and we are still really truly sorry for your loss. Being a small business, we just cannot be refunding stays as we lose out. Guests often take out holiday insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations. Again, we are sorry you aren't happy with how we dealt with your difficult situation.

Had the best time, would definitely recommend, will 100% be back in the future, so cosy and I loved the hot tub & the bath with an amazing view, the welcome hamper was very thoughtful and the cake was delicious. The bed was comfy and the fairy lights everywhere made it so cosy, I loved every little detail.

We stayed in the Cadwollen treehouse from 1st October - 4th October for our 1st wedding anniversary and had the best time! We ordered a hamper which was lush! The treehouse was lovely and clean, it had everything we needed in the kitchen, the treehouse retained the heat really well and the hot tub was the cherry on top! The bed was super comfy too. We had a Tesco delivery scheduled which made things easier for us - tesco were able to find it easily with the details provided when we booked. We will definitely be back!

We have just returned from the most beautiful idyllic stay at Trawscwn treehouse the most secluded of them all surrounded by fields and sheep 🐑 ❤️. It was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and we both absolutely loved it , the treehouse was built and decorated to such a high standard the hot tub was amazing and the firepit which we cooked sausages on. We really did not want to leave , hope to stay again soon. Also the cleaner made the most amazing shortbread . Thank you so much x

This place is beautiful. The view is incredible. My gf and I booked the most expensive treehouse (Cadwollen), and looked forward to it for 9 months. And upon arrival, we couldn't be happier, even after transporting our gear in the rain, on the muddy, poopy, uneven path. The lukewarm hot tub didn't bother us either, and we absolutely loved the sheep everywhere. For a few hours, our stay was heavenly. Unfortunately, all of that was ruined by something completely unexpected. We noticed a very odd smell, in the bathroom at first. We aired out the whole place, and all was kinda fine, aside from now the dozen flies that we let in, because there are no screens on the windows. Then an hour later, the bad smell was back, but at that point we were too tired to care, and went to the upstairs bedroom to sleep. But it turned out the smell had collected there, and my sensitive nose just didn't let me sleep, and had to spray my pillow with a strong and good smelling lotion (thank you Garnier). We spent the next day outside, but I kinda dreaded coming back at night. And I was not disappointed. The smell was just so bad, especially in the shower, which had no windows that open. At that point, my gf turned on the tub, as she was really looking forward to all day, and the smell just became unbearable. That's when we realized where it was coming from: the water. It turned out all the water in the treehouse smelled like it was coming out of a sulfur hot spring. That's when we texted the owners about it. We waited, but no answer. In the meantime, we stopped using the water. We resorted to using our drinking water and wipes for everything. We couldn't use the hot tub either because we would have to shower before and after, and that was out of the question. But the most disappointing part was there was never any answer from the owners. Anyway, the stay we had been dreaming of was completely ruined at that point. If that was not enough, all the flies we had let in found the bedroom, and wouldn't let us sleep. And on top, the wind started, and it sounded like a thick branch was raking the roof, about three feet above our heads. It was very loud. Needless to say, there was no sleep that night, and we couldn't wait for the morning to leave. The next day, a car showed up at 9:58, exactly two minutes before the check out time, while we were in the car, mapping our route. I told my gf that we'd better not talk to whoever was in it, because I was very, very angry. And if that wasn't enough, we had washed some of our clothes upon arrival to the treehouse (we had been on the road for weeks), and they absorbed the smell. So, even after leaving, the smell is still with us until today. Kind of a personal nightmare of mine (we had to create a biohazardous zone in our luggage). In the end, I'd like to think that the sulfurous water contamination was a complete surprise to the owners, it's well water after all, and that, for some reason, they never received our texts. Either way, we are never going back, and we cannot recommend this place. But visit Wales, the rest of our stay was pure perfection, and much cheaper.

Hi, thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. Firstly, we did not receive any text, WhatsApp or email from you during your stay- which is such a shame as if we had, or if you had popped down to the office or house we would have quickly reassured you that the slight eggy smell can often be the sulphur in the water which is caused from a bore hole system. Running the taps for 10-20mins can quickly clear this. It’s something that can’t be helped and just to clarify, our water is tested on a regular basis by our local council. A recent test report stated that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the water- it is not contaminated. Guests have flagged the smell in the past, but we have clarified it quickly, said what to do- and they have then gone on to have a wonderful stay. It’s a shame that we received no correspondence from you-John and I have both checked our phones and nothing came through I’m afraid. We hate to see that guests have not enjoyed their stay and are sorry that it caused such upset. John and Laura
