If you need to unwind, then enjoy luxury glamping at our Treehouse Retreat where it’s pretty much impossible to stay wound up. Lie back and relax in our comfy chairs, chill in the huge hammocks strung between the stilts and, of course, soak amongst the bubbles in our hot tubs out on the decking. That is assuming that you ever make it out of the incredibly comfortable beds.

Booked a year in advance through Canopy & Stars, having done a little research for a surprise getaway for my husband’s 50th Birthday! Cadwollens Treehouse did not disappoint & was the perfect choice to leave the madding crowd & totally chill. Luxury cabin lifestyle with a deep copper bath & a large hot tub out on the extended deck. Beautiful decor throughout, without losing any rustic charm. Huge glass windows with views for miles over the rolling hills, not to mention a few friendly sheep. If chilling isn’t totally your thing, like my husband’s, don’t disguard, as we ventured 20 mins away to Elan Valley Reservoir & took the long and fairly challenging walk around the dams. We managed 8 of what could have been 12 miles before losing the light. Well worth it, climbing 700 to 1400ft through the orographic cloud mist to the bright blue sky above. We even witnessed an eagle jet fly over us (the birthday gift that kept on giving). All in all, Squirrels Nest was the perfect location & treehouse experience to celebrate. Some wonderful new memories made & fantastic photos taken (sharing just a few herewith)…

Such an amazing place. Stayed in Llewelyn tree house and every bit was perfect. It was to celebrate a 50th. Two adults and two children. Even as bad as the weather was it didn’t dampen anything. Used the slide and hot tub all weekend. The bathroom is out of this world. Kids lived on the suspended net and slept there rather than in their beds. Lots of little touches that just make it, fresh cake and butter and homemade soap. Just perfect, thank you 😊

Great location, great accommodation with beautiful detailed decorative touches and then homemade soap and fresh baked bread from the cleaners…just perfect. Immaculately clean too. Highly recommend only wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at the squirrels nest just before Christmas (20th- 22nd December 2021). We are a family of four (children aged 6 years and 18 months) and stayed at trascwm tree house. I don’t know how to put into words how amazing it is at the squirrels nest, it is by far our favourite staycation we have ever had. Every little touch it thought of at the tree house, we loved the little touches like handmade soap, bara brith and bread. It was my sons birthday while we were there so we added on the meat package, breakfast pack and the birthday package, all of these were top quail out, my son also loved the balloons and banner decorating above the bed. The tree house is modern, stylish and absolutely spotless. We were so relaxed during our stay and we loved the quietness of the area and also loved the hot tub! The children really enjoyed exploring in the our doors, the little activity books for the children were a lovely idea and the mini tree house had fishing nets and other bits for the children to use while out exploring. Our children particularly enjoyed walking through the steams, seeing the sheep and also the mud kitchen. We cannot recommend the squirrels nest enough and will definitely return!
