Stayed at the Lamb and Flag for one night for the food festival. Location is ideal as if you're stuck for a taxi you can walk into Abergavenny town. We booked 4 rooms, two were quite small but perfectly adequate for us, 2 were larger. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Check is was slow as they were very...

Spent 3 nights here as part of a walking group. Rooms were fine, clean and well equipped. Hot water always available for a bath, which is always a plus after a long walk. Beer and food was of a good standard and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is a brewery run pub and will...

We ( 2 adults, 1 child and a dog ) stopped here on our way to Devon. The food was good and similar to other chain's food offer. Prices were slightly higher than other chains but worth it. There weren't too many staff serving behind the bar so I knew the food would be a while. We were happy to...

Came here today and the food was amazing I had the 10 oz burger my friends had the shank and full house all amazing will definitely come again but unfortunately our waitress with brown hair was miserable. What ever happened to service with a smile??? Whenever she walked past our table she could clearly see we had finished but left...

We were a family group of six staying for two nights. It's worth booking a table in the restaurant in advance as it's a popular dining spot. The menu is varied and there is a chalk board with daily specials - my 16oz steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Service in the restaurant was really good too with friendly and...

Unfortunately when we arrived we spent the first night tucked away at the side/rear of the place in room 4 which we were not very happy with. The room was small, dark and overlooked a child's play area, and there were no blinds/net curtains to cover your embarrassment when walking around the room. However after a really superb breakfast the...

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour of the area. It is in a lovely location just outside the town of Abergavenny. This is a very busy inn frequented by the locals as it is child friendly, has plenty of outdoor space and serves good reasonably priced bar meals along with Brains beer and a selection...

We were told that there was around a 45 minute wait, but that was ok. Food was ok, however the Service was awful. The waitress hardly acknowledged us when she brought our meals. She didn't even ask us if everything was ok. It was busy but most people were outside. There was only the two of us and another table...
