We went for Sunday lunch here and I would recommend wholeheartedly. Everything about the place is beautiful. The location, the bar, the decor, the food. Service was genuinely friendly but professional, felt like the perfect balance. To start we shared the Goats cheese brulee

We took all four rooms in the guest house for our three generation family break over New Year. It could not have been more perfect. Warm, comfortable, extremely well furnished and spotless. Just a stroll across the car park to the pub which was equally warm and welcoming. The

What a delight The Three Hills is. A small country pub only 20 minutes from Cambridge. The staff are always so welcoming. It is nice to see that on this occasion they have also taken on an apprentice waiter. So pleased that small businesses like this are giving kids a chance. At

Response from jetol123, Director at The Three Hills
Responded 22 Dec 2018
Dear John One of the difficult things about running a pub in these days of social media is deciding whether to respond constructively when someone has posted a particularly unwarranted review, or whether to let it go. Most people can read between the lines. Forgive me here though as your lack of Christmas spirit has prompted me to say it how it is. I suppose you were born knowing how to serve difficult customers? Kids have to start somewhere and you were particularly unpleasant to our young apprentice when he was only trying to help you. Sometimes a little understanding goes a long way and we were all young once. As for the rest of your comments, your steak was not cooked to your liking - we could have easily prepared another one for you - but you chose to complain only at the end of the meal. When we checked back you indicated that everything was fine. You drank one bottle of Rose Taittinger, asked for another, and were really quite rude when you were told it was coming from our (extremely cold) wine store outside as opposed to the indoor fridge. If you had felt the bottle you would have known that it was wonderfully cold but you chose to have to have a strop instead. You then returned our gesture of a discount for your steak by posting this really unpleasant review. Perhaps next time you should stick to MacDonald’s. There is a drive through at Duxford. That way you don’t have to deal with the “green starter” staff who will almost certainly be experiencing their first taste of work at this time of the year. You might be able to get your 2 bottles of Rose Taittinger at M&S next door. Watch out for the police though. They are pretty hot on that stretch of road and at this time of the year they are on the look out for drivers who have had a few too many. With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
