We stayed at Cae Adda cottage for 3 nights. It was amazing. The cottage is so homely and has everything you need in it. A lovely welcome package awaited us when we arrived. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains were incredible. We went on some fantastic walks with our 3 children. There is a cafe on the other side of the lake which sells fishing permits and hires boats. The walk round there was lovely, the views are worth it. The kids loved skimming stones right on the front of the lake. We even had morning visits to the garden from the local sheep. The hosts were lovely and so easy to get hold of for anything. We didnt want to go home it was so peaceful, even the camp site next to the cottage was lovely. We visited Bounce below which was only about 20 min drive from the cottage. Such a lovely weekend we will definitely be back.

Camped here with a few friends and it was a great place. The views of the lake and the mountains were amazing, the owner was very friendly and the facilities (shower and toilet) were really good too. There is also a room to make tea and coffee and charge your phone. I would definitely come back again.

We had a 3 night mini break on the site which was clean, friendly and peaceful. Superb toilet and shower facilities, and kitchenette. Great base for all outdoor activities, or just somewhere to relax and get away from it all which was what we needed.

Fantastic place! I like to camp and hike; as such I have stayed at many campsites but this one is by far the best. Derek and Claire were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A great choice of pitches; a drying room with fridge, microwave and kettle too. Probably the cleanest toilets and showers I’ve come across whilst camping. Plenty of walking outdoor activities to be had in the area or just chill at the campsite. The only downside is I had to leave. Many thanks for a wonderful few days.
