Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at the Oakfield B&B for two nights and everything was just perfect. Paul and his wife made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is a very well kept and well run place. The property is beautifully presented. As I was travelling alone I had a very clean and well equipped twin room with en-suite toilet and shower. Paul and his wife serve a delicious full cooked breakfast each morning and you can also have a choice of other items if you so wish. The property is well located for the Breacon Beacons which was my sole purpose for staying here as I wanted to explore the beautiful Beacons on my motorcycle. This B&B also benefits Bikers with a garage to store your bike in over night. Just as I did. So biker friendly 👍 Highly recommended

If you want to stay at an immaculate B&B in the Blaenavon area, this is the one for sure. Never slept so well in the rear facing twin room & then a great (hot!) Brekky with everything you could want. Paul & Heidi are lovely hosts & take great pride in the rooms.

I've just had a one night stay at Oakfield B&B, it's up there with the best B&B's I've stayed at. Friendly, welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean throughout the property and secure parking for my motorcycle. Excellent breakfast, just what I needed with a 250 mile ride ahead of me. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 1 night to be near son (just had a baby). Fantastic location, close to amenities and attractions. On-site (off street) parking. Very comfortable, homely feel. Nothing too much trouble. Paul was a great host, offering fresh coffee and tea on arrival as well as facilties being available in the room. Very comfortable room, with large ensuite shower/bathroom with lovely views. Full English breakfast was great. Will definitely be using again.

What a lovely welcome to this excellent B&B. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful well appointed accommodation with everything you need, including on site safe carparking. I stayed on my own visiting friends in the area and could not have been more comfortable. 5* accommodation highly recommended and would not hesitate to return.

Paul made us welcome and we felt very safe in the well appointed accommodation. He gave us lots of ideas about places to visit with a short distance. Don't miss the Blaenavon Ironworks which was the cradle of the industrial revolution in these parts.

I stayed at this B&B for my second time in 15 months. Paul greets you with a warm Welsh welcome. He offers secure parking for motorcycles/pedal cycles. The B&B is immaculately clean and the rooms well appointed. Price includes a hearty cooked breakfast. There are several restaurants and takeaways in the town and Paul is willing to offer guidance as to the local sights worth seeing. As a motorcyclist I found this B&B to very well located for rides across the Brecon’s and north into mid Wales. I will be staying here again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Blaenavon was such a fascinating place to visit! Paul was friendly and helpful, welcoming us with a relaxing cup of tea and an abundance of useful information for our visit. He checked on the availability of restaurant options, helped another guest modify her itinerary for a rainy day, and went out of his way to provide extra assistance during our visit. Our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious.
