I booked this the same day that I arrived. Howard was polite, friendly and welcomed me to the guest house. I was shown my room which was huge, great views from the room and everything was spotless. The quantity of drinks available was great. Stayed here for two nights and can say I’ve had the best sleep (which had been lacking for last two months). Also the breakfasts were amazing and food was of high quality. One word of advice, ignore the low reviews about Howard and the guesthouse. I found no fault at all with this guesthouse. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
..I drove up from London with my 27 year old son to help do some work on my elderly Mums house local to the Ewenny Guest House. We had a room each and the rooms were perfect, clean as a whistle in fact, peaceful at night and comfortable beds, we both slept well, the views of the landscape were lovely, all in all a very relaxing and very organised stay and had everything we needed. Howard the owner was a great host for the week we stayed, very friendly. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great choice of hot food and cereals etc. Previously staying here many moons ago we were really happy to be able to book again especially during these troubled times with Covid, it helped us greatly as Mum was self isolating and it helped this small guest house B&B business. I have no doubt in my mind to give 5 Stars Plus to Ewenny for our stay. Had we been staying for pleasure the area offers a great deal with lovely landscaping, a beautiful beach not far and some great eating out..Thank you Howard ..We will be back.. Many Thanks Lee…
Great reception from the host Howard and great room with a comfortable and all the facilities you need for your stay. Finally, best fried breakfast I've EVER had whilst staying away from home. Would highly recommended to anyone as a place to stay for business or leisure.
Wonderful and friendly staff and room was just lovely, so clean and the bed INCREDIBLY comfortable, bathroom a good size too. Breakfast was gorgeous not much more I can ask for! Location is great too, and was so quiet didn’t even hear another guest. Mini fridge in the room was really nice touch too, Tesco 5 minutes down the road easy to grab a couple drinks and keep them cold for the stay.
I had had 3 chats with the proprietor prior to my anticipated 2 night stay. One of which was approximately 18.30hrs on the arrival day. No mention was made about arrival times. I informed him I was going to visit family first. At22.15hrs, I had travelled half way to Ewenny B&B when I called to ask which entrance was I to use. The male proprietor's tone was angry and rude and he told me not to bother coming. I asked what is the cause of bad mannered communication and if I had offended him. He said I had arrived too late and not to bother coming any further. I said I am in a strange country, 450 miles from home and had been travelling all day and that i was a 60yr female travelling alone. He rudely said you don't check in at this time and when I asked about the 2nd booked overnight he said 'don't bother' and hung up. I was stranded and fearful.…
