This was a lovely stay on our trip - we only really met one staff member - when we arrived, when we ate and drank, and when we checked out. He was so friendly, helpful and had such a great work ethic we asked if he was the owner - he was not. Our room was huge for UK standards and the meals were great too. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in that area.

I visited this hotel for lunch 2 years ago whilst driving around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. The food and service was great. Last week whilst staying in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, my wife and I decided to revisit the hotel. This involved a 40 minute ferry crossing and a 1 mile walk up an access road. I had checked the hotel's website to work out when they were serving food - this started at noon and continued to the evening. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a sign on the door saying closed, open at 5. The landlady appeared and explained and said that opening hours were restricted by staff shortages. OK I get that - Brexit and the cost of accommodation in the area, but surely it is not too much trouble to update the website! We could have avoided the expense of a wasted journey. …

Small hotel in Kilchoan on Ardnamurchan peninsula. Excellent cooked breakfast to order if you want it. Very friendly obliging staff. Small evening menu - the best fish and chips I’ve had in years and a decent NZ Sauvignon. Very clean and dogs are accepted. Ferry to Tobermory on Mull close by and a short drive from Sanna Bay with spectacular scenery all around.

On our biking trip around the west coast and islands, this was the last overnight stay. Staff were so helpful (especially the lass who had recently started and the chef). Nothing was too much to ask for.

Stayed at Kilchoan Hotel for two nights. Fabulous staff, cheerful and very welcoming. The food was delicious, especially the fish and chips and I really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. The take away breakfast was a great idea, delicious bacon bap, orange juice, yoghurt, apple and crisps. The room I stayed in was very clean and spacious. Amazing view from the window. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was fine. The food and beverages were reasonably priced, but I did think the room was slightly overpriced. I would definitely stay there again.

We were working and staying locally to the Kilchoan hotel. We visited the hotel to feed myself and my team of 3 guys, and they were not disappointed on any of the 6 evenings that they visited for food. The service and standard of was excellent, could be happier. I would whole heartedly recommend anyone visiting the Kilchoan area to stop in for a bite to eat.

Just returned from a week staying in a cottage near Kilchoan about 30 mins walk from the hotel. It was closed at weekends and opened during the week. We walked there each evening through the week and had a meal 4 times. All the meals we had were lovely, especially the Balmoral chicken and my other half said the pizza was really nice. The bar staff were friendly and hard working and our wee dog Basil was made to feel welcome too.

We’ve just returned from a lovely couple of days with family in Ardnamurchan. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. The hotel has an added bonus being close to a local play park, cafe/gift shop and some great walks. There’s good vegan and vegetarian options on the menu and my kids enjoyed the kids menu. We’re looking forward to visiting again soon. 10/10

We added the Ardemarchan Peninsula to our Scottish Adventure after reading about its remoteness. The Hotel in Kilchoan was the only choice apart from a very expensive fancy schmancy option a couple of miles away and as we are not the fancy schmancy type booked us a couple of nights. The drive from the Corran Ferry was spectacular, one of the best we’ve done and we’ve done quite a few road trips in our time. It really does take a couple of hours, but we’ll worth it. The hotel is easy to find as Kilchoan is only small! We were greeted by friendly super helpful staff and shown to our room which over looked the Sound of Mull and the Mountains. Perfect. The bar was well stocked and food really good. Fish and Chips on a Friday night with what seemed like the whole of the Village was excellent. We will definitely be back as this area of Scotland is truly wonderful.…

Lovely area, lovely staff, however it’s not really a hotel more like a b&b, hostel., Very Budget rooms for the amount of money charged. Food average & the bar get very loud with locals & foul language, not really family friendly.
