This was our second visit this year to this wonderful location. We stayed in one of the 'Gold' caravans this time and found it very comfortable, clean, well equipped, spacious and cosy. A real home from home. The double bed was particularly comfortable, and the walk-in wardrobe was a very pleasant surprise. We hope to be back again!

We stayed for 2 nights in the log cabin in October, in some of the best weather Scotland has ever had. It was very well-appointed and cosy, with almost everything one could need, including washing-up liquid, tea, coffee, tea towels, soap, etc; milk and biscuits provided. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the surroundings are ultra-quiet. It is about a...

We've stayed here a few times now and it's a wonderful base to explore the area. Caravan is spotless with great views and facilities. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I regularly visit Glencoe, and the Independent Hostel is our preferred self catering accommodation. We spent a couple of days in their "Leven" caravan, over what can only be described as awful wet weather. The van was clean, warm and supremely comfortable. They provide dog blankets now for assisting in keeping pooches comfortable. Keith, Davina and their...

My husband and I rented the log cabin for 3 nights. It was cozy for 2 but can sleep 3 if the 3rd person is a child since the sleeping accommodation is a double bed with a single bunk bed on top. The cabin is one small main room that included a sofa, dining table, chest of drawers and armoire......

This site was a great base from which to explore the north-west of Scotland. The owners were extremely helpful when planning where to visit and extremely nice people. I cannot recommend it enough for those wishing to visit the highlands and the stunning scenery around Glencoe.

The dorm room was large with enough storage space and comfortable single beds, the big downside was that the toilets were so far away from the upstairs rooms. You had to go downstairs and through the dining room, the lounge then kitchen to get to them, not ideal in the middle of the night. Decent kitchen, plenty of cooking utensils...

Thanks for your review of our hostel building, really glad it was satisfactory over all. The female specific bathrooms are at the far side of the building but it's no problem to use any of the wc's overnight, including the one directly under your bedroom. Good to hear you found the kitchen and especially drying room useful! All the best...

We went self catering there's a choice of caravans all with scenic views or a solitary log cabin. Everything was perfect a couple of days away, the accommodation was well equipped with everything you'd need for some time away and the staff were very helpful. The Glencoe Independent hostel is well worth the money charged!

The hostel is situated in an amazing and remote location, the river runs down below the buildings, the mountains loom up over. The place was clean, packed with people and the staff were lovely. It was nice that the beds were already made up and waiting for you. My only gripe was the door locks. No matter how many times...

Hannah Thanks for the lovely review, we really appreciate it. Sorry you had a problem with a lock. They are all working fine so I think you were probably turning the handle the wrong way. We'd have been delighted to show you how to use them. The water does change colour with the rainfall. We are on a private water...
