This is a most excellent B&B; nicely fitted out in a Scottish country style with a comfortable guest sitting room with open fire. The hosts are so welcoming & amusing it made the place seem extra warm. They passed on plenty of tips for walking/driving excursions in the surrounding area which is scenically some of the most AWESOME I have... More

We had a wonderful stay here. We had a warm welcome from helpful owners who gave us recommendations for walks and restaurants. They also kept the fire going one evening so that we could enjoy it when we returned from dinner. Breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. Having good wifi access in such a remote place was... More

Stayed here for two nights and it was an excellent choice. It's situated on one of those typically Scottish minor roads with passing places. It's a bit out of the way but the effort is worth it. Lovely and warm and the breakfasts were fantastic. The scenery around the area is stunning and there are plenty of places to go... More

We stayed for just one night but would happily have spent several more. The 19th century house is extremely attractive, beautifully decorated, and well situated for local excursions and for getting in to Lochinver. The welcome we had from Maggie couldn't have been warmer, and offering us a cup of tea in her sitting room was a lovely touch -... More

We stayed for just one night, but will surely visit again, when we do another trip to Scotland. As we arrived, we were welcomed by Maggie and felt comfortable from the first second. Our room was really nice and homely. Room and facilities were clean and well taken care of. Maggie gave us some tips, what to see around (do... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and whole heartedly recommend this lovely guest house. We had a double room with a very comfortable bed. The ensuite was small but had everything you had everything you needed. Maggie and her husband were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of were to visit.

Stayed for just one night but would love to come back. The lodge is tastefully decorated in a classic style, and our small twin room was very cosy with a reading nook too. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and biscuits by the excellent Maggie. The wifi was also good, which was a pleasant surprise given how remote... More

We returned to Cruachan Lodge for the 4th time staying 3 nights this time. Denis and Maggie are the perfect hosts, sharing their wonderful home. The 3 course supper is simply delicious and a treat not to have to even make a choice. Sitting in the cosy lounge infront of the roaring fire to have coffee/fresh mint tea was a... More

We stayed four nights, mid-August, benefitted from good weather and had a fine, restful holiday. Our room was well fitted, quiet, comfortable - and, unexpectedly, had good wifi too. We took the option of having dinner each night (3 courses, no choice - though 'free froms' catered for) and greatly enjoyed every meal, as well as breakfasts. Really excellent traditional... More

Wonderfull spacious rooms, magnificent en suite, The indoors is decorated with fresh flowers. this is not a regular "lodge" but really a boutique hotel.
