Senga was very welcoming and friendly. I had an evening meal in the local pub, and walked round to the house. The room was spotless, large and warm, decorated calmly and with a great view of the river. The breakfast was good, with lots of choice and once again Senga was a great host. I would happily book again if...

Great night stay over clean lovely decor and outstanding hospitality. Nice modern clean warm rooms and private facilities. Awesome breakfast. Terrific hotel short walk down the road for an evening meal. Close enough to main towns but nice and quiet. Recommend this one.

We could not of asked for a nicer hostess. Senga was helpful in making bookings and recommendations for us. This is a great place to base yourself for seeing the Northern tier of Scotland. Will definitely return if ever in this area again. We feel as though we made a new friend.

We stayed for one night while doing the NC500. Comfortable clean room with a sofa for relaxing. A Highland welcome from our host and lovely chat. Excellent breakfast made with freshly sourced local bacon and sausages. Can't recommend highly enough as great value for money. John O Groats was much better than Lands End at our end of the country....

I'm a long-distance walker. What people like me need (in order of appearance) is a friendly welcome, loads of hot water for a shower, advice on where to go locally for great food and for shops, a comfortable bed, and a breakfast worth the name to start us off for the next day. You get this at Sengas, and at...

If you look for comfortable and cost stay that is the place for you. Settled in the middle of the Highlands, not far from John o' groat, you'll find a nice clean spacious room, full Scottish breakfast, nice owners to chat with and garage for your motorbike.

This place is a real Bed and Breakfast. Family home open for travelers to make them feel like home. And they manage! Everything is clean and well cared, they do for you the same they do for themselves. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed the night at Sengas and was welcomed in to a beautifully appointed double room with ensuite. Spacious and newly decorated. Such a friendly welcome and was treated to a great cooked breakfast in the morning. Thoroughly recommend this gem.

Lovely rooms and lovely breakfast, best black pudding ever! 😀 we booked two double rooms and they were both very clean and warm, lovely walk along the river. When we went up to halkirk we went to John o'groats and what a disappointment that was, go to duncansby head instead!
