We were greeted straight away by Jean who made us a huge pot of tea and chatted to us as if we were old acquaintances. She made us feel very welcome indeed. We had a good selection of breakfast choices, including porridge, and each dish was perfectly cooked. Her Victorian home is full of interest and character. The views of...

It seems as though we can't stop coming here! The Peak District, the house, the garden, the breakfast and Jean's warm welcome are all reason enough individually but combined they make an irresistible package.

Lovely B&B with great views of the reservoir in the valley below. Really made to feel at home, and even had proper milk in the room to make my morning cuppa. The room was comfortable and a very reasonable rate. And the breakfast was delicious. Thanks for a lovely stay. Would thoroughly recommend to everyone.

Welcome couldn't have been better. I was on a motorcycle and the lady even offered to make space in their garage to accommodate the bike - not needed though as a very secure and secluded car park in front of the house. Beautiful home overlooking the reservoir Large spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Residents have access to a...

Wonderful location and spectacular views. Jean was very friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble for her. Food was delicious. Would be quite happy to stay there again. There was a lovely garden to sit in, unfortunately the weather was a little wet for us to use it. Maybe next time !

I come back to Jeans place again and again. Her B&B is a very comfortable, friendly place to stay and good value for money. Even though it is with a shared bathroom this has never been an issue. It is very clean and I have never had any complaints. My sons family live near here and so when I visit...
