We came down to Whaley Bridge to catch up with some great friends for a few days and chose this particular guest house for its location. We were certainly not disappointed! It has character, charm and appeal in abundance. John has been a great host, friendly, informative and attentive. The guest house has a very homely feel to it, the room we had is very comfortable. Love it, and wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend!
John, the owner, was a perfect host. The welcome was great. The room was very comfortable and well-furnished. The house is lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Can't recommend Springbank enough - everything was spot-on.
Amazing guest house! Very welcoming with friendly family and staff and very close (100m) from railway station, with regular trains to Buxton and Manchester. Limited parking on the road, but there is a free railway car park if no spaces outside. I've never found a B and B with so many amenities - alarm clocks, plug adaptors, hot water bottles, ear plugs (!), plus all the usual wifi, hairdryer, tea/coffee. Only downside is the narrow, steep stairs and small en suite. Lovely touches include a choice of 3 coffee beans, 8 leaf teas, 11 jams/preserves, selection of magazines in lounge, wonderful Edwardian bathroom with scented candles... Exceptional value.
Stayed recently at Springbank for just one night due to a family wedding. The house is super sweet and rooms were lovely, lots of information on the local areas if you were staying longer/exploring the area. John was incredibly welcoming and even went the extra mile the next morning when I wasn't feeling 100%.... Thanks again, hope to stay again some time!
Stayed here whilst visiting family; the location is lovely for exploring the local area. Our room was great, comfy bed with plenty of space. The Breakfast was delicious, plenty of variety and lovely large cooked breakfast. Would recommend.
