We weren't expecting much from this guest house, having read some of the reviews, but actually we were very pleasantly surprised. There was a locked yard to store our bikes in, and the room was pleasant and clean. The owners were helpful and friendly and provided a good breakfast in the morning. It right near the harbour, so it was...

We stayed here overnight while cycle touring in the North East, so were pleased to have secure bicycle storage in their back yard. Very nice rooms, excellent bathroom/shower, great breakfast and all at a very reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and keen to share their knowledge of the area. Highly recommended!

Central location, super friendly, attentive and accommodating hosts make this a place not to miss. Nothing is too much trouble, own key to come and go and the breakfast will set you up for the rest of the day. A must if you are cycling or on the coastal path. The pub over the road serves great food with 'Black...

Quiet through the night and clean. Breakfast was BIG and man sized with lashings of tea and coffee. Chippie across the corner and good...

We stayed here over Easter weekend and we were so glad we did! It was lovely and warm after being outside in the freezing weather all day. Lovely and comfortable beds, with a great breakfast. Easy parking right outside the door. Very friendly & lovely hosts too.

Stayed here on a cycling trip up the coast, arrived in rain to a wonderful welcome. Dining room small but cosy. Fantastic lamb shank followed by local cheese & port. Sorry for delay in writing this review but even after time we needed to write a positive review for others to read & enjoy. Chris & Alison
