We stayed at the Gatelodge and the outside is impressive. The inside is a little tired but had everything we needed. The estate and beach are stunning and we did the 6 mile walk to pattack falls which took us through most of the estate. Only thing we weren't impressed with was being asked to clean the place before we left. Stripping the beds and emptying bins fair enough but when your paying over £800 to stay for 5 nights you don't expect to be asked to vac and mop before you leave

Absolutely fantastic stay in the Eco Pod. Spotlessly clean and roomy.. Comfy bed, great towels and mazing spot - so peaceful, but also in a way that allows you to turn up the tunes knowing no-one will hear a thing 😀 great 2 hour spin on bikes from the pod, mushroom picking and lovely beach. Shower was superb and lovely and warm. Great WiFi. Will book again. Only think missing was a corkscrew but was no big deal and had everything else required.

Although famous for TV and film appearances, Ardverikie Estate is far more impressive in real life. The cottage we stayed in was really nice, clean and well equipped, with it's own closed garden for our dog. Staying there, you are allowed to wonder the whole estate, even by car (if robust enough) to the remote areas. Deer roam freely and the scenery is breathtaking. As a conservationist I noted the work the estate is involved with, bringing back native tree species and enhancing habitats in an incremental way. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. I put it to my wife that it felt a little like coming home. I am sure most people feel that way. We would highly recommend a holiday at Ardverikie. We are returning for a two week stay with a group of friends as soon as wee can. An amazing place.…

We stayed in the Gatelodge at the end of March. It was absolutely brilliant! The facilities are great - everything you need. Such an amazing place to stay. The weather was surprisingly good so did lots of walking - the scenery is truly breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend.

We stayed in the Gatelodge and it was a lovely comfy space. Plenty of wood provided for the fire. We had a number of people stop to take photos as it is a lovely building but they didn't disturb us. The walks on the estate were amazing and we walked miles. Every single member of staff we ran into were very friendly and if there was something they could sort for you they did. I would definitely return.

This magical Scottish shooting lodge gatehouse looked fabulous from the outside, but unfortunately it did not live up to it on the inside, tired looking & dated, no welcome package & unfortunately the cleaners had left the toilet not flushed … saying this the actual estate & grounds are absolutely amazing & we have many wonderful memories from time walking on them & the beach was to die for. Make sure you take good stock of supplies … We were lucky enough to have a tour of the shooting lodge & Dee the housekeeper is fantastic..

Myself and my partner stayed in the Eco Pod for three nights in September this year. The Eco Pod and the views are excellent and I would recommend this for anyone wanting try something different. Lovely and cosy and will stay again! Thank you Adverikie!

Stayed here with Family August 22 . Huge farmhouse very clean and plenty of kitchen pots pans etc . 2 dishwashers which saved some work ( the bigger dishwasher wasn't working as well as it should ) small one was good. A bit surprised there was only one TV which was huge . As we had mixed ages of children so just had music channels on to save arguments . Had some lovely rides out went to the beach a couple of days . Some family went on walks to the waterfalls . Its many years since I last went to Ardverikie and its changed lots . Surprised to hear no fishing allowed on the lochs anymore . We did ride out to find it but couldn't. As the site manager said some tracks have been changed.. all In all my family have now visited the Highlands and loved it very much .

Had an amazing couple of nights at this compact but very comfortable lodge. Very well equipped inside and out with quality products. The outside decked area is great for sitting round the fire and soaking in the surrounding forests and hills, I especially loved the outdoor shower. With access to the whole estate theres plenty of wonderful walks to keep you occupied. Would return in a heartbeat 💗

We stayed at Inverpattack Lodge, one of the Ardverikie Estate houses, this August. The accommodation itself was really lovely. it is a beautiful house and it was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The staff at Ardverikie are very helpful and friendly too and dealt with our enquiries efficiently. The reason this is a four star review not a five star is really to do with elements that are beyond the control of the owners. Firstly, the house itself sits just above a very busy road. It made us anxious as we were travelling with a young child with additional needs and with a dog. The outside space was large but very sloping, and mainly taken up with gravel driveways. There are two picnic tables out front, but this summer at least, there was a lot of traffic passing by. If you are looking for total peace and quiet, or a lawn for children to play safely on, then this house isn't for you. If you are travelling with older kids or adults, it's a great house for large groups and the hot tub is a bonus. We were told we could walk for miles from the back of the house, but we found the fields adjacent to the house impassable at the top with no clear paths to follow - we may not have explored far enough! The estate itself is really very beautiful. It is a few minutes' drive and it would not be safe to walk unfortunately, due to the fast traffic on the winding road. The beach is a magical place and great for swimming and picnicking. We were a little surprised to see cars park on the beach itself (aside from those pulling boats and canoes of course) as it seemed mad when you can park right next to the beach anyway. Also, quad bike tours pass through every few hours, but only for five to ten minutes. The road at the edge of the lake can be heard, but only distantly. Aside from these disruptions from contemporary life, the beach at Loch Laggan is one of the most beautiful places we've visited. Up the hill, the estate has walking routes on wide, even tracks with beautiful views - great for walking and biking. My son also scooted up and down the road to the castle very happily. Overall, the four rating comes down to our personal preference for tranquility and to the limitations of the outside space around the house. Other than that, this is a brilliant spot for exploring the Cairngorms. The Highland Wildlife Park, Loch Insh, Aviemore and Newtonmore are all within easy reach. We may well return but to a different Ardverikie property, further from roads.…
